I don't disagree with any of the facts you state about Memphis. My only point is that everything you mentioned above is the PROBLEM with college basketball. It's foolish to act as though because this kid was a "fan" of a school growing up he's going to play ball there. The very spirit of college athletics, especially in the sport of basketball, is being gutted.

Definitely in agreement with that. I think he'll look a lot more like what he was at Texas. I wouldn't worry about the NBA thing, he's a solid player, but he won't get good enough feedback to see it all the way through. I don't blame him for testing it though.
I was really more worried about him being a guy that was going to graduate early and go somewhere else. I'm glad there's been no noise about that.

Before One and Done became a thing around 2003, all types of players declared early----folks that had no business declaring. Shea Cotton, anyone? H3ll, Gerald Wallace barely made the first round (and ended up on arguably the best NBA team to never win the title.).

Pearl signed a 5 year extension with AU
$3.8mil + annual $125k raises as the base. I'm guessing addtl performance incentives too. Buyout is $8mil both sides.

If we miss on Watford and land Bolden AND Rojas, I’m still gonna be VERY excited about this season. Even tho we can’t put too much into Juco stats, Rojas was a Juco All American and Bolden is a legit PG who has a career high 43 points in a game
