I don’t think Memphis reporters even know WTF Trendon is doing. One minute they’re saying he won’t visit them, and now they’re saying he might

He said he hasn’t been on campus today — said he’ll see about tomorrow. Earlier today was the dead period so technically he wasn’t allowed to be on campus for an unofficial anyway.

They may all be afraid they will be ruled ineligible after everything comes out.

Which Sonic is this going down at? Jordan Ln, Sparkman Dr, or another? I want in on the Tide or Die87 & Saban n Bear showdown. I will film it for all the rant to see.

"I came up here because of my man Ernie Kuyper," Watford said. "I played with him all four years and I have a strong relationship with him." Kuyper, who operates Hoop City Basketball AAU program in Memphis and was the organizer of the event, is also the cousin of Tigers assistant Mike Miller. As a result, Watford has become increasingly close with coach Penny Hardaway's lead recruiter.
Ernie Kuyper, who organized the game in Memphis tonight, was Watford's AAU coach he last 4 years. Kuyper's cousin, Mike Miller, is one of Hardaway's assistants at Memphis and is Watfords main recruiter.

I never understood why relationships are so important to athletes. I mean i guess i get it but everyone else in the world goes off to college without someone holding their hand.

Because at the end of the day for most of them, this is supposed to just be a vehicle to the next level(You don't see relationships mentioned nearly as much by a 3 star at the bottom of a power 5 class as you do from top 20 5 stars) and thus the deciding factor , especially in college ball where very few coaches are actually any good at developing players, is whether the player feels a connection to the staff.

Yeah I'm calling shenanigans on Memphis' recruitment of Watford. It smells too fishy. I hate to lose out on him though
But as long as we still add Bolden and Rojas, I think we'll be at least a bubble team. And I believe Oats is good enough to overachieve with what we have.

No one wants to play for a coach they don't like.

I don't think the questioning of relationships being such a big deal was an attempt to say "why don't recruits go play for coaches they dislike more often?" I think it was questioning why recruits put so much stock in dumb shite like a family friend's brother being on the staff of a school they are interested in.

Jaden finishes really well in traffic. Glad there's a new highlight vid on him. He'll fit right in Oats' system, but I hope he doesn't feel the need to throw up a three every time he has the ball. Avery never held players accountable, so they'd always have the green light to shoot it wherever. With Oats, I'm hoping they're taking high % shots.
Also, think it's time for Oats to start up a new slogan. Buckle up is dead to me.

It’s so hard to get anything worthwhile from videos like that imho. It’s just clip after clip of him dribbling between his legs and taking jumpers or dunking. All that really tells me is he is capable of dunking a basketball and that he is able to create his own shot (although many of them will be very inefficient shots at his size in the SEC) at the HS level.
Those highlight tapes are always boring to me. I want to know how good of an actual basketball player he is not how good he would be in a one on one tournament.
Not meant as a diss to you, thanks for posting it, but a highlight tape similar to that one could be made for every single halfway decent kid in the country.

Well, I do somewhat agree, but in Watford's defense, he didn't say anything like that. He said he went up to support his AAU coach. Then, whoever wrote that article and the fans reading it took the next leap and started speculating that it matters to his recruitment that the dude is Miller's cousin. He never said that.
