I just wish we could go back against Penn State and play those last four minutes again. Damn that win would’ve been huge for so many reasons.

Also as a long time Alabama basketball fan, it’s really odd how quickly I’ve bought into this team over the last 3-4 games. Playing a pretty good team and I just sort of assumed we’d win and score a lot of points. And then we go out and do it.

As somebody who feels similar, I think the biggest thing is how they look. It just looks like a group who has had the light go on, and they are comfortable and even confident in what they are doing. Everything is done at full speed, they aren't guessing on where to go, every pass is with a purpose.

We've had 4-5 possessions in the last 3 games where the other team threw something different at us - Belmont ran a stretched zone, Richmond ran a diamond and 1 press - and you could SEE our guys get excited and immediately run something to break it and get a great look. I've NEVER seen an Alabama team do that before. EVER. At best we just beat it and score. Normally we look perplexed and confused. This was the polar opposite of that.

It's just awesome. Oats is absolutely a legit teacher and basketball coach.

All winnable, but probably wouldn't win them all. Definitely beat Penn - the other 3 (RI, UNC, ISU) who knows.

We played well at Penn State, we just didn't finish. I kind of lump the PSU game in with the current stretch of good play.

Yeah it’s been building and what put it over the top for me was kicking the shite out of Belmont.

There was nothing fluky about that. In fact, if we’d been a little more careful with the ball in the second half (when we were up by 20) we could have completely run them out of the gym.

We had some solid wins under Avery, but we almost always had to grind stuff out. Double digit wins over solid teams is a great sign.

Here's players and Coach Oats (audio only) post game presser: https://twitter.com/977ESPN/status/1211473310950871041

He brought up this was the first time we've scored 90 points or more in 3 consecutive games since the 2000-01 season.

I think we win at least 3. We beat Penn State on a neutral floor without those damn horrible refs. We beat Penn as well and get take one of the other three

Agree - and as somebody noted earlier, we didn't play a great all around game today. We were a bit sloppier than we've been, we had some lapses defensively and we let them get easy points at the line. And with all that, we led by 10-15 pts for almost the entire 2nd half against a solid high-mid major.

It feels legit, but I really need to see us the first 2 games in SEC play against Florida and State to have a better feel for it.

Us vs Florida is gonna be interesting. They have a good defense, they're only allowing 63 points a game. They have a really good 5 in Kerry Blackshear as well, Virginia Tech transfer, Reese and Fleming will have their hands full.

They are however beatable, they lost to Utah State at home a couple of games ago.

If we bring our defense we can win. They aren’t the best shooting team. I think if we score more than 70 we win.

The major thing that’s worries me is Blackshear. We don’t have anyone who can guard him inside.

Matter of fact that worries me against Wiley, Reggie Perry, Tilmon.....etc.

Richmond shot 39% from the field and 25% from 3 tonight. If we can do that to our opponents on a regular basis we are going to win a lot of games. You can't look at the number of points scored against us in a vacuum. We play at ludicrous speed. If we have 80 possessions in a game that means our opponent will have a lot themselves. Lots of possessions means lots of shots. Lots of shots means lots of points.
