The SEC had a rough night last evening. The barn is maybe the best team right now.

There’s no maybe. They ARE the best team and it really isn’t close.
Good thing for us tho is we’re a 2 point loss at PSU away from having a 4 game win streak. Things are slowly getting better...

I checked Youtube and the beat writer socials but could not find any footage

We're down to #74 in KenPom - we were #85 going into the Penn State game. We've played 3 straight pretty solid ballgames. The next one on Saturday against Belmont is huge - they are very solid again. Need a big turn out in Huntsville
Huntsville has been turning out for these games even with the competition being not as exciting as the Birmingham games. I don't get why the Birmingham games are so sparsely attended especially with a city that size in a fairly pro-Bama town. If Huntsville, a pro-barner city, can bring 8-9K there is no reason Birmingham can't find at least 12K fans to watch a game

It was on SECNow with the court side reporter right after the game.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. They're solid but they have yet to play a really good team yet.

Couple things. For one, Birmingham is an hour from Tuscaloosa. The novelty of Alabama basketball being there isn't nearly as big a deal as it is in Huntsville. Also, Birmingham has generally had pretty solid turnout for those games. The Texas and Oregon games had really good crowds. Samford just isn't going to draw all that great, especially in a down year.
The game in Huntsville was a great move by Avery.

I bought my tickets the day they went on sale. I checked the website last night out of curiosity, and it looks like it's basically sold out, with just a handful of tickets available here and there. I attended the first two years also and both times it was a packed house.

Petty is only the 2nd player in SEC history with multiple games of 10 3’s made.
The other one is Rotnei Clarke who played at Arkansas and Butler and was a little white POS but man could he shoot

I didn't get to watch the second half, unfortunately, so I can't really comment on our defense or the performance in general. We certainly looked good in the first half.
The only issue I have from the box score is another 38 minutes for Kira. In an 18 point win. I know it tightened up in the second half, but it just seems like we could find him a few minutes here and there.
Still, nice win. And I'm still excited about the season. All I really care about is continued improvement throughout the season. I feel like we have improved lately from what I've seen (I missed the entire Penn State game).

We didn't handle the press very well last night. Comes with a team that doesn't necessarily have guys who have good handles, but he didn't seem happy about it.

Wish Kira didn't have to play 38 freaking minutes against Stamford.
Also Davis fouled out in 14 minutes. That's impressive.

Well, Javian did learn from the best during his redshirt year.

Donta is going to get a shot at the NBA sooner rather than later. Man, imagine if we had him for one more year. This team would look completely different. He would look great in this style of offense.

Him and Javian would have made for a nice 1-2 punch
