Petty is gonna miss a few games IMO. He has a high ankle sprain. He was limping bad at the end of the game. Might get the Tua special.

I listened to this entire disaster of a game on TuneIn while I was doing chores around the house.

The laundry was more exciting

gonna be a rough year but believe in Oats guys

Oats is, warranted or not, going to be on the hot seat going into year 2. We are probably going to lose ~25 games this year. It really doesn't matter what the circumstances are, if you lose that many games a large chunk of the fanbase is going to turn against you. Doesn't matter if it is year 1 or year 10. The only real exception is a situation like what Pearl took over at Auburn where they had an entire roster of mid-major and DII players, not just a couple. Avery didn't exactly leave Oats a talent laden, well coached team but we shouldn't be this bad either.

Oats is a proven good coach and we are a proven mediocre or worse program. It’s going to take him a long time but we have no room to be impatient with him.

Cool. Doesn't change the fact that 8-25 is going to have a ton of people questioning why we fired Avery and hired some yankee from Buffalo. I'm not saying it's the right attitude to have, but it's coming whether you agree with it or not. As I said before, this year is a perfect storm of shite. We overscheduled even if we were at full strength, and then we had a bunch of attrition before the season even started.

I was doing Thanksgiving and didn't get to watch. I checked the score when we were up something like 16-4. By the time I was leaving the parents' house, we were down 15. I was going to watch the replay at home, but after seeing the final score, I think I'm just going to pass.

Glad you guys didn't run Petty off. ;)

He will not be on the hot seat IMO. Heck with the injuries , no talent roster he inherited , I don’t see how anyone could expect much with what we have right now

The confidence we have in players that transferred away from their previous schools is my favorite thing about my fellow Bama basketball fans.

There’s a reason they left a school, and there’s a reason the previous coach and fan base didn’t give a shyt.we haven’t landed a decent transfer in 20 seasons, and it will probably be 29 more before we do.

I remember when Bama won the SEC after getting blown the fuk out of the gym by the likes of Ole Miss, UCLA, and Missouri.

Yeah, fire Oats after year 2 and good luck finding a coach worth a damn. I love Bama and I wouldn't touch that job if that was the criteria set by the AD.

Petty rounding into a serviceable player is critical for any kind of success.

Turnovers and defense are killing us.

The talent on this roster right now isn’t worse than what Avery had in his year 1, & we came damn close the March Madness. Obasahan, Taylor, Coleman, etc. that team blew

Yep... Not to mention absolutely no help of the bench. And for god sake stop fouling the three point shooters.

Oats just needs time to get his style of players. Patients...

In this case he was a grad transfer and had no eligibility left at WVU.
