Surely you don’t throw Raymond away already ? The staff had to know what he brings to the table when they signed him right? We would have missed out on Davis, who I think will continue to develop had we done this with him. Also , 6’9” guys wanting to come to Bama don’t grow on trees

Nice.
Many of us go back to the plaid palace or earlier so you know what you can do with that FOG nonsense.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe they want to redshirt him? As excited as he was to join the program, and the way he leads the cheerleading on the sideline, I really want him to develop into a contributor.

I kind of compare him to the Diante Wood situation. Yes we signed him thinking he could be a contributor, but then if you’ve got a really good player you want and need to make room, you politely ask Raymond to find another school since he’s the worst player on the team at the moment. Now maybe that’ll change and he’ll improve a lot over the year, but as of now he’s not good.
Also today is Raymond’s bday

I think that dude is probably a troll, but he's not wrong that this thread turns into a giant bitch fest during games. Some of y'all need to stop getting so worked up. I want Bama to be good too, but keep some perspective.

I don't think Hawkins can redshirt anymore. He played 1 minute in garbage time against FAU with the walk-ons.

Basketball doesn't have a RS rule like football does now? That's pretty ridiculous.

and he looked like a walk-on in that 1 minute

I don't believe so. I think 1 second of PT burns a redshirt in basketball.

Yeah, he certainly didn't look the part of a Top 200 recruit. It was pretty rough.

Between this and my dad/brother text chain my wife has been tricked into thinking I've mellowed out watching Bama hoops. I need one of these for Braves games.

Isn't that kind of what this thread is for? If not, I'll gladly stop, but I've always kind of considered it the bar and all of us sitting around watching the game on TV.

Does he do the games on TV? Wear a plaid jacket?

Great to see the effort so far. Still haven't played any team that is really worth mentioning (although Rice looks much better than previous thought). We have a good test against South Dakota Friday though. They lead the nation in 3 point percentage currently.
