Ty missed at least three wide open deep throws that were probably touch downs.

Mike Rodak posted this stat.

Ty is 2 of 14 on passes that had at least 30 yards of air. This is why we Bams cant have good things. But I still think Ty is the best for Bama and was pulling for him playing more last year. He would be a more experienced and developed QB. Regardless of his draft status and heisman finish he needs another year at Bama

That throw to the tight end down the sideline was right in bread basket.

ty is stuck in fastball mode and its causing him to be off target. i'm not hung up on the long downfield throws as much as others. good qb's all over the country are ht n miss on those. it's the intermediate throws that he was money on earlier in the season, that gets me riled up. it's those throws that he misses just enough with his fast ball that the wr's cant catch. also, he seldom ever puts the ball in a position for catchn-run, again, no touch, just a had thrown ball in the vicinity of the wr. smh...

Long balls loosen the D which will allow rushing yards. I would like to see more quick slants and this passing wide be cut back. Teams know what we are doing.

Apparently, the experts think differently than you do.

I think it might be pretty simple. Ty is fantastic when he has plenty of time but struggles a bit when the line doesn’t give him much time. That is probably true for most quarterbacks.

i didnt say a single word about reads, blitzes or pocket navigation. i spoke about touch and ball placement.

He has shown he is capable of great ball placement and touch on intermediate throws. But that seems to go away completely on deep balls

I agree with you and Oklahoma IMO has a better defense than LSU.

i agree, he has shown hes capable. however, in the last few games that ability comes n goes on the intermediate throws. which he attempts far more often than the deep throws.

Someone mentioned this in another post but defenses are flooding the underneath zones taking away a lot of the short passes we had earlier in the season. Which is forcing Ty to have to go deep more often and it’s throwing off his rhythm because he’s not great at those and they’re low % throws anyway

And the run game being non-existent is putting a tremendous amount of pressure on the passing game to be near perfect which they’re not going to be. I think some of his mistakes are getting in his head a little too

Yeah I thought Ty looked good last night besides the narrow miss to Germie, and maybe a few reckless throws.

LSU was doing a really good job at getting pressure. Even when they were blocked they were finding ways to effect the pocket. A lesser QB would have been sacked 5+ times last night.

And their corners were extremely sound for the most part. Sometimes you just have to give it to the other team.

And obviously, having zero run game makes passing the ball exponentially more difficult

Sometimes you just have to give it to the other team.

Ty still needs help with the long ball

He did but we've went away from take what the defense is giving you..the little 4-5 yard dump and started to run everyone deep or throw for 15 when we need 5.

Reminds me of the Bob offense from a couple years ago.

Also what's up with all these weird play calls. 4th n 1 and we motion the qb out so everyone knows its going to the rb? Or trick plays when we're moving the ball tradionally? Don't call it if you dont need it imo

To be fair, our RB just closed his eyes and ran straight into a defender.

I share your concerns. I am hoping showing our “trick play” sets are to get defenses to prepare for what they’ve seen and then we double trick them and run something else out of the set.

Thats exactly the reason he wont be drafted high. NFL takes more chances on QB like Anthony Richardson of Colts with live arm even if they are not accurate and consistent.

this makes a lot of sense, i can see this being the case. i get what you're saying about the need to hit those throws. i havent forgotten what they done with devonta, jamo, waddle and others. ty must get a brief shot of adrenaline as he launches because hes just a tick off. like someone said, its not like hes missing by several yards. oh well, none of us are throwing nor catching so i guess we just hope n pray for better results. also, that when he does hit the target, they actually catch it.

Lots of politics in the roster last year with the LANK stuff and Coach couldn’t play the best guy.

Ty and Tyler Booker are best friends yet you think it was politics within the roster? Or maybe he was similar in practice to how he looked vs FSU. You can see that mentally he changed after the FSU game, but no one on this boards knows what he actually looked like during practice.
