Saban has never risked a championship or a players health for a trophy before so I expect him to sit out this week. He may even sit vs the barn since Jalen should be ready to go. Kyler Murrays stats were already comparable. If Tua sits and he leads OU to beat WV 2 weeks in a row I think he takes the trophy.

Tua sitting is something scared fans contrived online.

Saban has not said anything if the sort and even stated if we needed we could have brought him back out.

This crap is getting ridiculous. Go to your closet, shut the door, and sit with your head between your knees. Wait 2 months and come out to celebrate the NC.

Good thing West Virginia is going to expose Oklahoma then.

Who cares? Almost all the Heisman winning QBs do jack shite in the NFL.

The committee knows Murray wouldn't put these numbers on teams that play defense.

Did you see the total offense in the Okla vs okla st game ?

embarrassing. They are not going to reward that. Especially for a guy that will be playing baseball next year.

I don't know, but that another OU quarterback won it last year may also actually work against Murray.

There’s a rumor he may come back next year. No idea why he would though.

There’s no committee, there’s the media. To win the Heisman you have to have numbers. They’ve given the Heisman to players who routinely played shite defenses plenty of times before.

No he didnt. Just stop with this silly idea of Tua losing Heisman race because of one game. MURRAY is playing in a conference that doesnt know defense.

Exactly. Given that he still has Auburn and Georgia to play, it's pretty damn stupid to even suggest.

Thats fine with me. Heisman is very overrated and Tua has another year or two to win it

Play one more year of college football where you are the starting QB on a grand stage...or ride around in a bus with a bunch of Dominicans grinding out a long baseball season

No amount of money can buy back that extra year of playing CFB

I’m much more concerned with the lack of offensive production than I am about an individual trophy. The Heisman is nice. Healthy, mobile Tua with a better game plan going forward is important for the ultimate team goal.

The Heisman voters have a long history of sending in a large number of votes before championship weekend.

Not necessary. 4 percent of voters mail it in early.

Tua is the media darling of CFB. As long as he plays even just decent from here, he wins it.

I know it's selfish but I really hope tua can stay healthy and play well against AU and UGA. Kyler has almost caught up due to stat stuffing against bad defenses. Would suck to lose it right at the end when he's led for it all season

Oklahoma hasn’t come close to facing a Montez Swear, Willie Gay Jr., Grant Delpit, Greedy Williams, Devin White etc. Oklahoma is a plug and play and there are more things at work with Tua than just stats. People are looking I think at Bama near as much as Tua as well. Think about it for a second.

When’s the last time you heard Alabama being the #1 or #2 scoring offense in the nation in the last 50 years? Like 1973? Fact of the matter is, Tua has changed Bama in ways that just haven’t been seen in modern journalism memory and even in the midst of a terrible stat performance, I still believe it drives a slightly biased narrative. The Heisman Trophy flat out states it’s given to the

quote:

most outstanding player in college football

Stats are never mentioned nor are schedules or anything like that. Voters could view everything from impact on team to the sexiness of his highlights to just flat out how fun he is to watch and be around in general. It’s dumb, but true nevertheless. So, all that being said, we’ve got a long way to go. A Heisman would be nice but a national championship is the real goal and regardless of what Tua wins, he’s still how we get there AND win it.
