Ummm, ok

Anyway, reasonable Bama fans:

Is one game too much to miss for Tua in the heisman race? I wouldn’t think so, but I saw a lot of rumors going around that Tua could fall too far behind the other 2 or 3 candidates just by missing that one game. What do you think the heisman voters will do about him missing a game?

From the surgeon who performs this surgery, you start running Day 8 and cutting soon after. He's probably taking reps the following Monday.

Bama beats LSU, Tua's firmly #1.

Over Jalen?

And I think you need to qualify that claim with what kind of stats Tua has against LSU, because it’s not like y’all haven’t beaten us with subpar QB play before.

Yes. Tua would have bigger games left...LSU, AU, SECCG.

OU doesn't have anything left.

If Bama wins it'll be because of the offense and QB play.

Ok, so if Bama beats LSU but Tua misses the Arky game. Bama goes 12-0, LSU goes 11-1:

Lets say Burrow finishes with 4 more TDs, 5% higher comp %, 400 more yards, and a higher QBR than Tua, and he has a really good game against Bama and its a 1 score win for Bama.

Who do they give it to?

What, about the Heisman?

Idk

I was just asking the question because I think it’s an interesting scenario.

So I guess me

What if Burrow throws for 2,000 more yards this season, with 21 more touchdowns, and LSU goes undefeated … but then Burrow admits in late November that he enjoys bestiality? Does he win the Heisman then?

Seriously, trying to predict what the average Heisman voter is going to do in mid-October is a fool's game. Trying to determine if an LSU player is going to win it on an Alabama board is beyond idiotic.

He missed the equivalent of almost 3 games last year due to not playing the 4th qtr. if he had played last year he would have won it walking away. I’m not sure missing 4 qtrs of ball will cost him.

Let's say we stop trying to get people to fellate your team's QB based on hypothetical statistics in a thread about their own QB's ankle surgery.

Agreed on your first point. Your second isn’t what I was trying to do at all, but point taken.

What are these boards for if not sports discussion though? Whether it’s a fool’s game or not I have fun thinking about and discussing scenarios like that, and the thread was about his injury, so I figured the topic fit, at least in principle.

Is your opinion of LSU fans really so low that you assume any question I ask I’m trying to force an answer in favor of my own team?

Thank you to the one person who replied to me with an actual answer and actual logic.

I wasn’t trying to get anybody to say Burrow would win it. I was just putting a scenario out of what I felt like were realistic number gaps for 1 missed game.

In general, I have no issue with fans of other teams coming on here to discuss football. When you start throwing out hypotheticals based on events that haven't occurred yet, though, you lose me.

My preference is to reply "That won't happen, because the zombie apocalypse will occur the week before." It's just as relevant as any other "what-if" scenario.

To win the Heisman he has to play/win against LSU, put up great numbers and have a “Heisman moment.” We would also have to finish running the table and he would have to play like he has before injury.!
