So you guys are really willing to play the most talented quarterback to ever play at the most historic university in college football history until be can't even walk in order to beat a 4 loss team with one of the most anemic offenses we'll play this year. Seriously? Just wow.
I trust Jeff Allen and our medical staff. If they clear Tua, that's all I need to know. They are some of the best in the country at what they do. If he is healthy enough to play, he should play.
ETA: Also the amount of hyperbole I see on this board regarding Tua's injury is ridiculous.

3 drives for Tua next week and then take him out and let Jalen work the rust out coming off his injury

Did you see jalen yesterday? He wont be healthy for a while.

I'll get downvoted and hated for this, but Tua needs to toughen up.
Either you're hurt or you're milking it.
I believe Saban when he says Tua could still play. That didnt mean he isn't pain. If you've ever played college football and up, you'd agree damn near everybody is fighting through some kind of injury. Tua is not ther only one, however he is the most melodramatic.
The more he does that the more we're going to see these dirty players aim for his knee to try to really severly hurt him.
These past two games our team has played well (except for Cotton smh); it has benn Tua whom hasn't been that great. It's not the knee either, because he's struggling with things he has mastered early on.
I think Tua has been rat poisoned. I'm sure Saban knows and will do what he needs to do to get him mentally where he needs to be to have consistent success.

What a gigantic leap

It's not a leap.
Tua is playing lazy at times which leads to easy misses. We know the talent is there because when he locks in he throws unbelievable passes and we are unstoppable.
I'm telling you guys if he doesn't focus we're going to be disappointed in the playoffs.
Clemson has a great defense like MSU amd L8U; however they have a good offense as well. We need the focused and precise Tua. Not the inconsistent one and I'm not referring to when he is being pressured.

Tua's health and the team's success are more important than the Heisman.

We cant beat a team with a good D with just Jalen. We are too one dimensional. We lost last year and NS was too stubborn to bring in Tua at halftime. Otherwise we would have beaten AU

Y'all are the ones shitting the bed about the possibility of having a play a 4 loss team with perhaps the most inept offense in the country without Tua but I'm the one gumping?
Ok then.
Someone posted about Tua needing to toughen up. I don't think that it either. It's not a pain thing, it's a confidence thing. He's missing passes he could have hit with his eyes closed two months ago. He's clearly not confident in his knee.
And y'all banging on Mac, this is the same Mac that threw for 300 yds against the same defense that just shut out the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the West. Give the kid a break.
As far as Jalen goes, Jalen doesn't need to play until Jalen HAS to play.

Play tua for auburn. let him sit out practice entirely. and i never comment on what the coaches should do. in saban i trust and all... but, this here seems like a 100% no brainer. and i will be pissed to see otherwise.

I never ever want to see a Jalen led offense vs Auburn again. Please no.

I'm sure you were the toughest son of a bitch on the field in your glory days.
Tell us, then, so we can marvel at your talent, who you are and when you played. Maybe there are YouTube videos of you busting heads.

I'd prefer we treat next week as a bye week for anyone will a nagging injury.
Sitting Tua against Auburn (outside of real injury)? Fvck no.

The bowl game looks to be about right.

Auburn is not the most inept offense in the country. This being the Iron Bowl, you know Gus Bus is going to pull out all the gimmicky offensive stuff. As good as some of our defenses have been, we’ve never completely beat them down under Gus.
How about you take a look at the best rushing defenses we have faced. In every one of those games, with the exception of LSU, our run game really struggled. And that was with Tua and Deonte Brown. This time we wouldn’t even have a healthy Hurts.
You’re really bringing up Spring game numbers? Against a bunch of 2nd, 3rd stringers, and walkons? AU is 14th in the nation is sacks and points allowed. The point is Mac isn’t going to be even the passing threat that Hurts is. He’ll complete some passes and may end up being a decent QB, but as of right now he isn’t ready. He hasn’t had enough reps with the starters either.

After rewatching the hit on Tuas knee yesterday I was extremely happy to see he did hit him in the quad and I could see how that made it seem much worse than it was.
Give him two touchdown drives versus the Citadel and get him out of there I say.
If Tua wins a natty coming in as a true freshman down 13 at the half and then wins a natty playing one legged all year could you imagine the God status going into next years season? Lol
Ok I’ll shutup now but if he can get back to 85% I’ll be confident against anyone

Tua was moving great early on and making quick cuts on the knee. He got beat up due to poor offensive line play, dirty play, and the worse game Locksley has called all year. He has a thigh Bruise and will be fine.
Do some of you honestly think you know better than the Alabama Medical and Training staff what is going on and how to manage it? It's laughable!
State was twisting, pulling, and tugging on his leg every chance they got before going for the death blow.. Lost all respect for that coach. Dirty Bastard. Can't beat em' so wreck them I guess.
Privately, I guarantee you Saban is seething and we will beat them by 70 next year.
