He had a pretty bad game. Couldn't cover the Renfro kid to save his life. I also saw him TWICE back step rather than make a tackle - like he didn't want to get hit.

He made some crucial plays too.

Bama's defense 2 years in a row couldn't cover him.

Losing Eddie ended up killing us after all.

TBH I put this more on the coaches for not coming up with another plan than Tony himself. I could've told you from the start that he wouldn't be able to keep up with Renfrow; he's just too stiff in the hips to cover him in space.

The pick play being so obvious and terrible didn't help either. It's a penalty all day long.

We couldn't cover that white kid last year either. I'm guessing he's just a damn good player. Payne's dumb arse 15 yard penalty was likely the difference in the game as their kicker is struggling. That and Hurts really really reallly needs to work on his downfield passing. The couple of deep balls he threw or guys were open but he has no touch or accuracy on those balls. Love the kid but he is just a really crappy passer at this point in his career. He either needs to get way better or Tua needs to beat him out. I can't handle another year of having no vertical threat on offense whatsoever.

Refs did suck big time, but we knew early they were letting the picks go. We should have adjusted our coverage AND taken advantage ourselves on offense by using the same plays. Can we fire Sark and just hire the Clemson OC?

Pick gets called they kick the FG and win in OT. It was their night. We were done, defensively.

Yep. Bama could not stop Watson inside the 25 for 2 straight years now. Only thing that could've gotten Bama the win after Payne's penalty was some mistake by Watson resulting in a turnover.

Explain how Tony Brown is getting picked in this play.

You see a pick. I see a WR running a route, a DB with his arms wrapped around him, and the guy allegedly getting picked not even touched. The WR is entitled to run his route. If he had run at Brown and made contact, that would have been a pick.

They could have switched men.

What about the guy next to him. Is that legal?

There was no attempt to "run a route". It was a pick and should have been called but we shouldn't have been in that situation. Clemson deserved to win the game.

Which guy? The Alabama defender? Yes.

"It is not offensive pass interference :
1. When, after the snap, a Team A ineligible player immediately
charges and contacts an opponent at a point not more than one
yard beyond the neutral zone and maintains the contact for no
more than three yards beyond the neutral zone."

Ball was on the two yard line. The WR has made contact not more than 1 yard past the neutral zone, and is not in contact more than 3 yards past the neutral zone.

That's a really nice photo. But it sure as hell doesn't show offensive pass interference. We have some posters who don't know any more about the rules of football than they do what happens on team flights.

See the rule above and then explain why that's pass interference, when the rule clearly states that it isn't.

It wasn't the picks.

Their receivers made some clutch catches in the 4th. I mean clutch.
