I think Coleman had the potential to be a pretty good PG. He wasn't able to finish at the rim the way Retin, Levi, and Releford did which is why he usually looked to find the open man when he drove. He improved a lot from last year to this year. But not a crushing loss.

I would guess we'll bring in a grad transfer. Lord knows there'll be plenty out there to choose from.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm sorry, I would have responded to this post about 10 minutes ago, but I immediately fell in the floor laughing as soon as I read your post, and just now was able to get back up. This guy just compared Justin Coleman's skillset to Tyler Ulis. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Never compared their skillsets, prick. Compared their height. You said Coleman was just too short to compete. You didn't expound on it either. Height doesn't matter if you have the skills to compete, and Coleman has them. Was he at Ulis's level? No. But not all talented guards are Wooden Award nominees.

You know it's bad, when the best news we've had for a few months, is a player leaving.
We need a commitment.

Sucks that Coleman is leaving, but I don't see it as a bad loss really. Only thing we're really going to miss with him is his ability to drive and dish, and then his dribbling. Any time he took it to the rim, the ball always wound up blocked.

Retin said on Periscope that Dazon has been at full strength for a while now and he's looking better each day. Plus we may bring in Avery Woodson. I never really worry about our PG position.

Kessens is only a loss if we can't find a corpse to take his place. I really wanted Coleman to work out. I think his inability to finish at the rim and his inconsistent shooting cost him a spot.

I would like to thank him for all the hard work he has put in during the past year and want to wish him the best of luck.”

I didn't expect him to transfer. He's certainly undersized, but I thought he'd want to hang around and learn how to distribute the ball from the master of assists. I guess he saw the writing on the wall with Dazon returning. Probably wants to go somewhere he can start.

Losing Coleman stings.

Some of you hate on him a bit much. He's basically Antoine Pettway reborn and everyone seemed to love his play at the Capstone.

That's what I'm saying..we played our best basketball when Coleman was at the point and getting everyone involved. I think a big problem was everyone was so use to watching Retin do his thing that they weren't use to the contrasting drive and dish style of Coleman.

I don't think he was anything like Pettway. For one, I think Pett has about 5 inches on him, and was a lot better at finishing at the rim. That said, I thought Coleman could have been a very good distributor and three point specialist if he'd stuck around and worked on his shooting consistency.

Not me.

Sure he was great at dribbling the basketball, it means jack when you turn it the frick over and have 0 offensive game sans free throws.

He was a career 27% shooter from the field. 30% this season. Let that sink in...

We need basketball players with basketball IQ.
I'm willing to bet right now, without ever seeing him play that AjJr will be an upgrade.

It's time to stop settling for mediocre talent for our BBall team. "He's a great ball handler" or "He can rebound sometimes" or "Warm body". It's fricking pathetic. We need players that know how to consistently contribute.

If I remember, Ingram lead the team in rebounding, scoring, and assists before going down. There is no sacrifice in skill when he's in the game.

We don't need anymore momentum busters and 2 of our worst are gone.

I wish them both success for their future.

Yea, I'm not sure. AJ Jr may be a solid player, but he only ended up at A&M because he brought along basically their entire class.
