Ronald Steele played for the Crimson Tide from 2005-2009 before injuries decimated a career that seemed destined for greatness. As a two-time “Mr. Basketball” from John Carroll High School in Birmingham, the 6-foot-3 point guard became an All-SEC player as a sophomore, averaging 14.3 points, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals. He led Alabama to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as the Tide lost 62-59 to national runner-up UCLA. Injuries mounted the next two years as ankle sprains, knee tendinitis and plantar fasciitis derailed further success. That’d be a pretty big blow for sure. I think it’d seal us having to chase a PG in the portal.

I’m guessing his dad playing at Michigan State is what ultimately won out. He is a great player tho.
