Crazy that we only get 1 CBS game as the defending champs. I'd like to know how many CBS games other SEC teams get.

Hopefully that's good news for us on either Newell or Reid

I haven’t reviewed the entire conference TV schedule but here it is if you want to look it over:

I’ve always heard that the 8pm weeknight crowds at Coleman are better due to the Bham crowd being able to make it down in time. Any truth to that?

8pm weeknight
It’s a delicate balance. 6 pm starts make for a mad dash to Tuscaloosa to get there by game time, but you also can get home at a decent hour. 8 pm starts make for an easier trip to Tuscaloosa for game time. The main disadvantage is, if you don’t leave the game early (which I don’t), you’re getting home in the vicinity of midnight. It’s also tough on the fans who bring kids if it’s a school night. The parking lot is a madhouse for a good 20-30 mins post game and traffic can be heavy on the drive back. For me, 7 pm would be the optimal start time during the week - but that doesn’t fit the TV schedule in most cases. Hopefully the fans turn out and support the team regardless of start time.

Yeah, I really can't say I've noticed a big crowd difference versus the game times on weeknights.
We usually see pretty much the same people around us and dotted throughout regardless, unless it's a notable matchup.
Same, and while it's harder to get away for a 6pm start, it's worth it because of that, especially as I'm getting advanced in age.
Had a parking pass that I ended up not even using because of this.
When they built that bridge and reconfigured things it just made more of a mess trying to exit those lots, unfortunately.

I'm a Bham based season ticket holder. I prefer 8pm starts on the weeknights because I can cook a little dinner early and then drive down. Getting back late does suck, but I'm young(ish) and unmarried, and have a flexible work schedule, so not too big a deal.
I hate feeling like my best dinner option for a 6pm game is paying an arm and a leg for shitty Coleman concessions.

The NBA is suspending free agent guard Josh Primo for four games for what it will term as "conduct detrimental," sources tell ESPN. The Spurs waived Primo a year ago.

Primo allegedly exposed himself to women in multiple instances, sources told ESPN. Primo would serve the suspension upon signing with a new team. Primo, 20, was the 12th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

NBA probe found Primo "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior by exposing himself to women. Primo maintains that his conduct was not intentional, and the league did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures."
Damn, he's still only 20 years old.

Honestly that whole thing almost comes across like he thought what he was doing was a joke or something, but because he can't just come out and say "it was a dumb prank trying to get a reaction from someone" he tried to play it off as accidental. But like, 4 games and no other evidence of instances of him doing anything weird and creepy? That makes it sound like they can't prove he did much of anything.

The accuser dropped the claim and agreed to settle too. I'm surprised Primo hasn't been picked up by another team yet tbh. 6'6" two guard lottery pick that's still only 20. You have to think he'll be back in the league at some point.

I'd imagine they were waiting on his league punishment to be announced. No one wanted to sign him to a one year prove you can stay out of trouble deal and then find out a month later he's suspended for 50 games. I bet he's picked up soon.

I think Bama is in good shape with Diallo and Boogie Fland and would not be surprised if Oats got commitments from one of them to go along with Jase Richardson and Derrion Reid. These recruits like Oats system and it's not lost on them how many guys Oats has put in the NBA the last few years.

They saw the freedom Miller had, and saw a #90 recruit become a one and done with Clowney. It's why our recruiting target list looks more like what you'd see from Kentucky or Duke than a team that's never been to a final 4.

ESPN Sources: Free agent G Josh Primo is planning to sign a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. Since his release from the Spurs in October, Primo has been engaged in ongoing therapy – which will continue in LA.
