I think we would’ve probably left Wrightsell alone if we would’ve known it would cost us Q, but hindsight is 20-20. When we took Wrightsell, Q was still in the draft and there was no guarantee he was coming back. The portal giveth and the portal taketh away

So do we even bother trying to look for a pg?

What do we have now, two spots open?

I don't know if we absolutely need anyone at this point, but I say we pickup whatever we can, if only to give minutes/fouls.

And there's always a chance we grab someone who unexpectedly manages to shine in this system.

First thing that comes to mind is a 3-and-D Noah Gurley type, who IMO was directly responsible for at least two additional wins last season.

It's Joe Toussaint. Sign me the frick up for a 5th year kid from the Bronx who is tough as shite, doesn't turn it over and makes free throws as a co-starting PG/first bench guy.

Me too SOG. He won’t have the highs that JQ can have but he also won’t have the fricking disasters JQ could have also

We need a PG, but I do wish he shot 3's a little better.

He shot 30+% last year and is a good free throw shooter. He'll be good enough from out there, especially as a backup PG.

More importantly he's tough as nails, gets after it, is old and strong (physically and mentally) and (if he comes) will 100% accept the role he's asked to play.

Absolutely, we only have one true ballhandler on the roster at the moment in Estrada. Sears is better playing off ball and Wrightsell is the same but IMO more of a catch and shoot guy at this level. With the tempo that we try and push, we need reliable guys to distribute the ball.

Assuming Grant does come as expected and the way he handles the ball, we may see more point forward play this season.

That would allow Sears and Wrightsell to stay off ball more.

Aaron Suttles just said Seton Hall or Miami. Has to be Seton Hall IMO. He takes a lot of pride in being from NJ so it makes sense

Beetle Bolden

A buddy and I have now spun this concept into a text thread of "guys we loved at the time that were going to be sooo good."

In addition to Beetle, highlights so far include Ar'Mond Davis, Shannon Hale, and Charvez Davis.

We're truly living in an amazing era of Alabama basketball under Nate Oats, folks.

This is the facts, buckaroo.

Time to stop playing nice. I want guys that want to be here. If JQ wanted to be here then he would have stayed.

frick the “playing time” argument. If he was good enough he’d be on the court all game. Dude isn’t good enough. NEXT.
