At first it seemed a bit odd to me, but Locke is about as proven a 3 point shooter as you could ask for. 43% and 40% from 3 past two years on a 5-6 attempts a game.

I don’t know what he’s like defensively. Never paid that close attention.

Maybe he was inspired by the threes we rained down on Florida

Alabama has reached out to both East Carolina transfer Jayden Gardner and Furman transfer Noah Gurley this afternoon, a source told @Stockrisers.

Both are two of the best-available transfers in the flooded transfer portal. They’ve got plenty of suitors, respectively.

Gardner would be an interesting one. Heck of a scorer, but he's a 6'7 235 big and just absolutely does not shoot 3s at all.

I took a quick look at a highlight video and it was low post scoring mixed in with some face-up stuff and a decent amount of mid-range.

I personally think Oats could incorporate a certain type of post scorer as long as we played 4 out around him, but Gardner would definitely be an interesting one. Maybe he's just that good (and he doesn't seem to be just a post scorer).

This is more recent, 21 and 15 versus Houston: LINK

Not much post-up stuff there. Looks like a pretty skilled player - Oats would probably just have him facing up other bigs and going to the basket. Hell, I'd take him

We got a waiver from the NCAA to have an Alabama Crimson and an Alabama Tide team.

Gotta stock both rosters.

Yeah, i'm getting a little fuzzy on how the numbers are going to work out. Thought we had it pretty well figured out, but if we are reaching out to new people today...

Possibly backup/contingency plans?

Plus I think you can basically expect at least one guy a year to leave (for whatever reason) that wasn't really expected to leave. I thought Javian would be a 4 year player for us around this time last year.

Y’all think it’s possible Oats hasn’t given Bediako the Green light yet and that’s why he hasn’t committed and why Oats is in the portal? Maybe Oats knows Bediako is a project on offense and is looking for more immediate help in the portal.

Next years Group will be probably be the best chance roster wise to make a Final 4 we have ever had and Oats is going All In.

To be honest, I'm a little torn between Bediako and a transfer. With JD possibly one and done and then maybe losing Q, Keon and others, I'm more inclined to go the immediate help and the transfer.
There are so many plug and play portal guys, it may be what we do. I'm also not completely sold on Burnett. Might would go with a big instead.

I would prefer Transfer over Bediako if I’m being honest. Now I would gladly take Bediako don’t get me wrong but his offensive game ain’t ready

Another easy game for the Zags.
49 1st hf points.
Most of it via layups.

I gotta get tickets for this one, for sure. My mom went to Alabama and USA. I'm curious when tickets will be for sale.

So happy to hear Coach Saban talk about Alabama Basketball again. He had been very quiet on the topic and don't remember him attending any games. Was rather disquieting, especially since he was such a strong backer of Avery.

So much for my prediction of an upset hahaha. USC gave up 49 points in a half? Sheesh.
