Nelson is perfect but still need another with him imo. Even with him not much depth inside

Can you imagine...Nelson and Walters? Holy lunch pail.

I hope we get burnt out on the jokes before the season starts if we do land him haha

At this point I'm pulling for Nelson and then a Center solid enough to take on a good bench role behind Pringle. Still probably need another 4/emergency 5 but just want to land the big fish first.

Nelson and a solid C to back up Pringle and we’re set. On a per minute basis Pringle was one of the most productive centers in the SEC and I am excited to see what he can do as a starter.

For every 30 minutes Pringle played he averaged something like 12 rebs and 13 points. He averaged 6 fouls per 30 minutes too, that will have to come down.

I will never get sick of making tongue in cheek jokes about white athlete tropes. Just like Sam Walters and Grant Nelson will never willingly leave the gym because they are gym rats.

You can’t beat having multiple coaches out on the floor.

I hope Doug Shows trips over their lunch pails and faceplants into the floor. He will T both of them up, but it'll be well worth it.

Initial shortlist for Grant Nelson:

Alabama
Baylor
Florida State
Iowa

From Trilly. Of those schools, I really like our odds. We offer the best blend of PT, competitiveness, and opportunity to showcase his range for scouts.

Arkansas went from favorites to land Holland and Nelson to missing on both in the blink of an eye.

If JQ does come back, Oats is going to have some difficulty on the guard rotation. Quinerly, Sears, Griffen, Estrada, and Wrightsell are all players likely expecting starter minutes.

As things stand right now, I'd expect us to start off small with Quinerly, Sears, Estrada, Griffen, and Pringle with Wrightsell being an offensive sparkplug.

JQ is back. He retweeted something saying he was returning to Alabama

Right now my starting 5 would be:

JQ
Sears
Griffin
Walters
Pringle

Do you think Sears and JQ start at PG1 next year.

I am excited for Pringle. He definitely deserves this opportunity and it's awesome to see a guy who is all about the team get a chance to shine. I'm not upset at all about Pringle taking over for Bediako in the starting lineup. I think the Bediako loss will be felt more when Pringle hits the bench. That was such an absurd luxury to have Pringle backing up Bediako last year. Having 40 minutes of elite level rim protection every night is what made us so good defensively last year.

Not feeling great about Baylor on there. They have beaten us out for a couple of kids recently. FSU has to strictly be a keep the same playing time/touches but in a major conference thing because they are a mess. Iowa is the close to home, but not a shitty program option. Assuming his ultimate goal is preparation for the NBA I don't see either of them being the destination.

Maybe I'm the only one, but Pringle really seems like a traditional 4 to me. I don't have a problem with that, but I also don't see him doing well defensively on those rare occasions he has to guard a good traditional 5. On the other hand, he'll be tough for a traditional 5 to guard. I'd feel better if he could shoot though.

Maybe 20-30 years ago, which is traditional I guess. His offensive game doesn't extend more than like 5 feet from the basket though, and that is a non-starter for a 4 in the modern game.

NEWS: Former Creighton forward Arthur Kaluma is withdrawing from the NBA draft and returning to college, sources told ESPN. He's now arguably the best available frontcourt transfer - with Alabama, Texas, Texas Tech, Kentucky among those in pursuit.

Not only that, but the other 3 aren't tossing around cash like it's moonpies during Mardi Gras. But Baylor is gonna be tough to beat because of their coach.
