Not sure how he'd be allowed to transfer to Auburn without the rule being viewed by the entire SEC as a total joke.

Yeah well, if any SEC program is going to tell the other 13 to go frick themselves and dare Sankey to do anything about it...

Top 15 Efeosa Oliogu talks Maryland, Alabama, and more recruiting

Efeosa Oliogu is the No. 11 player in the 2025 On3 75. The 6-foot-4 Canadian sophomore is playing up in age on the Under Armour Next 17u Circuit, averaging 20.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 2.2 steals per game through two sessions with the Canada Elite program.

“I model my game after Jaylen Brown,” Oliogu told On3. “My catch-and-shoot game is good, and I am very explosive. I’m really good in transition. This season, my jump shot got really consistent. I’m hitting one or two threes every game consistently now.”

On3 caught up with Efeosa Oliogu after a recent live viewing to talk about his recruitment.

Oliogu talks recruitment

“I’ve only been to Maryland and UCF on unofficial visits so far,” Oliogu said.

Maryland: “I’ve gone twice, actually. Their coaching staff really loves their players. Their play style too, I feel like I really match up with how they play. I feel like if I were to go there, I would fit into the program, and I know the coaches would have my back.

“They play fast, a lot in transition as a team. A couple of their guys are really explosive and really good at finishing in the paint. I feel like that fits with what I do best.”

UCF: “I didn’t see much of the team because when I went, it was around the break. The campus was really nice, really big. The environment is really cool down there, too, in Florida. And they’re moving conferences too.”

“Alabama is a school that I’ve gotten an offer from and want to go see,” Oliogu said.

Alabama: “Everything is just good about the school and the system they play. I feel like I would fit well with how they play. Obviously, everyone wants to be the star player, but I feel like everyone gets touches on that team. So even if they are really good, the role players can still get theirs and play well.”

“Oklahoma State and Michigan are both schools that we’ve heard from,” Oliogu said. “Hopefully, the offer comes soon.”

In his words

“I got into basketball a bit late; I played soccer growing up,” Oliogu said. “On the high school scene, I did watch guys like Collin Sexton and Sharife Cooper. I would say growing up; those were my favorite two high school players.

“The only thing I’m really looking for in a school is support. You know, a lot of schools will promise you everything, but I want to go to a program that will look out for me. That will help me reach my potential.

“I would definitely be open to a pro route, learning more about it. But that is not something that has come up yet, so there is no rush really to think about it.”

Today is the last day for non-graduates to enter the transfer portal.

The Portal opened on March 13th with 119 players and 60 days later there have been 1,724 entrants.

Deadline day! (Kind of.)

The transfer portal window slams shut later today — but that doesn’t mean it’s the final day of transfers. Names will trickle out as paperwork gets processed.

More importantly, portal window rules don’t apply to graduate transfers, so those won’t stop.

Hodgson recruited him for us.

A lot of 3s and 4s entering the portal here at the end. We need 1 of each.

F5 is a reference to the 2011 film Fast Five starring Vin Diesel, in this classic film he references his crew of street racers as his "family." Since Kobe Brown is from Huntsville, it's a reference to bringing the family back together in Tuscaloosa.

That's the kind of hard hitting analysis that makes this thread the best one on this board.
