2 things:
1) ready to see more of the schedule. I wonder if Oats has most of it already done or if they are still working on that?
2) Friend insider told me that saban said he didn't want to hear anymore about the arena until they get football figured out. That's not what I wanted to hear. And the cost keeps going up, not much they can do about that side.

I'm ready to tip it off again.

Does anyone have any names at all for the last roster spot? It has been quiet as far as I know.

If this is true I knew NIL was gonna cost us our arena because we gotta pay football recruits.

Figure out how much in donations football needs to compete in NIL. May need original arena money for basketball NILmoney too. It was good to see Bradley has a deal with Embassy Suites.

My donation was earmarked for a new arena. It better not be used for anything else.

Yea, existing donations have to be used as defined in the Chrimson Standard fundraiser. So football renovations all should be done now. No.e of those existing funds can go to NIL.

Maybe the worry is that expected Crimson Standard donations are being held back by donors to play the NIL game.

Can't be. Would be some serious legal and accounting issues if it was.

Alabama’s Keon Ellis will workout for the Orlando Magic today, a source told @Stockrisers. Worked out for the Heat yesterday. Draft sleeper. Averaged 12.1 points and six boards per game. Terrific defender, also excelled offensively.

Whereas last year a lot of them were focused on getting better individually, not as a team.

That was a bit of a concern last off-season and I think most fans could definitely tell the vibe and energy was a bit off with the team. I don't think we may ever know the full story but I'm glad the chemistry sounds better so far.

This Nike/ Phil Knight tournament is brutal. Except for home team Portland, the other schools are Oregon, Nova, UConn, North Carolina, Michigan State, Iowa State, and us. No doubt Oregon will get Portland in the first round, so anybody we play will be really good. And if you look at the projected top 10, UNC a possible PK foe is there along with Gonzaga in Bham, and we play Tennessee, Arkansas, and Houston on the road. We played Kentucky twice last year, so will we this year? Who else has 5 or 6 top 10 teams on the schedule? I assume we beat Memphis at home, but they beat us badly last year, and who knows how their roster will shake out by game time. South Al on the road will not be easy either. We need some cupcakes.

A sneaky commitment to keep a close watch on is Alabama’s inclusion of Florida forward Sam Walters. The long and lean 6-foot-10 forward is the kind of player that may not trigger a big response the moment of the pledge but when you see him as a 20-year-old player at the college level with good coaching and skill development, you could be looking at a guy who is showing up on draft boards. Walters paired with Nate Oats is an interesting combo. I like this one for both parties.

"Next season's game between Alabama and South Alabama will be played at the Mitchell Center in Mobile on Tuesday, November 15th.

Second meeting of a three-year series."

Hell yeah! A local game. I definitely need to keep on eye out for when that go on sale.

Of course costs are rising, I predicted this numerous times including hoping the UA administration was aware of the risk and hedge for it.
