Yea, agree. I know we all have apprehension to freshmen and big expectations, but the reality is our elite top 20 freshmen are going to have to be very good players for us to be very good.

The guys we are bringing in are solid and will be great at the thing we got them for, but we're gonna need Miller/Bradley to be dudes (and Bediako to be a little more of a dude).

Based on what we saw in Bediako in November compared to March, I'm actually expecting pretty big things from him next season. With experience, more familiarity in the system, and another year in the off-season workout plan I think he can make a big jump. Also based on his free throw shooting at his size, if he develops any perimeter shot, look out.

Well after JD and the Tchikou fiasco, anyone is going to be apprehensive about counting on a freshman. But it’s pretty obvious that Miller and Bradley will have to both be the real deal for us to be good next year.

Losing Shack was huge. You could pretty much pencil in 12-15 points a night. Hell he averaged 16 a game for the season. We just don’t have anyone coming back that you know you can count on night in and night out.

If everyone lives up to expectations, we can be really, really good. But that’s a big if, because they rarely do. That’s why I think those last two portal spots are huge. Oats can’t miss with those.

Agree on Chuck. If he can just put on a bit of muscle and work on defending without fouling this summer he should have a bunch of double doubles next season. He seems like a really team oriented, coachable kid too.

Brandon Miller, if we’re a legitimate contender he’s lived up to/exceeded expectations

Can't really disagree with that. I'm hoping we get to a point where our yearly baseline is good team and if one of these 5*s comes in and plays like Sexton for a year we're a great team.

100% agree - I can't wait to see him expand his game a little bit and play a full year a little stronger and with confidence.

Agree - Bridges would be great and I think that last spot really needs to be an automatic shooter. We badly need one of those guys on the roster with Shack gone.

If we hit on both of those, it's a roster that - if the freshmen play up to ranking (obviously not a given) - seems to be very well rounded, deep and balanced.

We need to speak Reeves into existence. Combo guard with good length and can score at all levels.

Let's hope he has a bad visit to Lexington this weekend and hope UK just views him as a back up plan.

Bediako needs to work on lateral movement, hope he's doing slide drills all summer.

We need him for 25 minutes/game.

I think he'd be a great fit for what we need.

Have we contacted Terrence Shannon?

If we need a guy to be a #1-ish option to score points, then Reeves. If we just need a pure shooter to space the floor, hit shots, and complement the rest of a strong roster, then sign me up for Green Jr.

I'll have a better idea which would be the better choice sometime in January.

If it turns out we chose wrong we'll just make a trade at the deadline boom fixed.

I'm pretty sure we reached out but it appears to be an Illinois/UNC battle if you go by the rumors.

That sucks. Hopefully Reeves did in fact hate Lexington.

I think it's also important we consider the source...

Jeff Goodman's Top Transfers

He's just not a good analyst. It's cool that he tries so hard to be buddy-buddy with our Head Coach, but he's a guy that has his job because he provokes interest in his articles through controversial takes. He's a clickbait artist.

Sure, he did struggle against high-major competition last year, but it is a 2-game sample size early in his first season as a starter and against a top 40 defense and the 6th best defense in CBB.

I'm sure there will be some growing pains with the step up in competition, but I wouldn't be overly concerned about 2 of his first games as a starter.

I think those two teams Kentucky & LSU probably keyed in on him a lot more but with better pieces around Sears that's not going to be able to happen.

I wonder if we will reach out to Antoine Davis? Son of Mike Davis. He may want to follow Dad's footsteps. He's small but a monster scorer

This guy’s statistical profile is really something: LINK

He took 1180 3 pointers in 4 years.

He took 20.3 shots per game over those same 4 years.

Just a textbook chucker, except…his efficiency from deep is actually pretty damn good. For his career, 36% from 3 on 10 a game. And you gotta suspect there were a fair amount of questionable shots.

I don’t know if he makes any sense, but it’s definitely an interesting stat line.
