I hope Colby Jones hits the portal. That's a guy that will bring you energy and hustle! I think buddy on Twitter forecasting that with Jones & Sears in Tuscaloosa.
Well he wondered how many games they could win.
My impression was that tweet just listed all the players from Alabama as a "what if" but I certainly could be wrong.
I'm not overly keen on adding more hustle + energy guys that can't shoot the three to what we already have. Unless maybe Gary transfers. Isn't the Pringle kid supposed to bring that to?

I understand he had a rough year. But not even close? On guys unproven in this league and at the P5 level consistently? Be careful what you wish for
Finally some common sense. JQ is a MacDonald's All American, 5 star, experienced SEC player. These transfers we are considering have make their stats at small schools. The grass is not always greener. I'm sure JQ is weighing his options, but he is a player. I wonder if some here replace wives every other year?

The ongoing Barstool rivalry between Oats and Muss is pretty hilarious. I can't believe they've been keeping it going for two years now.
I think they actually like each other but the barstool guys like to stir the pot

That fricking Rico Bosco is a jinx. Ever since he has hardcore been a Nate worshipper we fell off a Cliff.

Miller can defend but ask him to defend a four right now wouldn't be a good idea. He has to put on some weight!
He’s really not that skinny. About the same size Herb was as a senior.

But other than maybe Burnett, who would those other very solid defenders be for next season? Like you said, there's no Herb. No Petty, No Keon. If Q and Shack come back, it's to start and play significant minutes and that's 2 poor guard defenders out there together.
Bediako, Miller, Gary, Miles, Griffen, and Bradley…all solid to great defenders.

I replace biweekly and don’t give out the wife title anymore

That’s the damn truth. He does love Oats though

It’s because Oats was nice to him when the BenchMob came to Tuscaloosa last summer.
Rico has some kind of anger issue and Big Cat and Portnoy always try to get him riled up

Miller was blocking everything in the McDonalds AA scrimmage last week and played great defense in the game

Did LSU accidentally give themselves the death penalty
Posted on 4/1/22 at 7:07 pm to Cobrasize
If they would have just cooperated right away and fired Wade this would be behind them. Even Auburn gave in eventually to save themselves and they weren’t near as dirty as LSU.
They thought they were Invincible and the NCAA wouldn’t do shite and the NCAA called their bluff

We had 2 McDonalds All Americans last season and how'd that end up?
And Pack played in the Big 12. Some act like we'd be the only school going after these guys. The guys were talking about are being recruited by a ton of successful P5 schools including several schools that finished off much better than us.

Bediako-good shot blocker. Decent on ball defender.
Miller, Griffen and Bradley haven't played a college game
Gary-fine when not hurt
Miles-solid to great? Come on.

Just going with the three we have seen play in this conference, I don't think I'd call any of them great defenders.
Bediako is very good as a shot blocker under the basket. He's not shown that he's locking guys down on the post in a 1v1 situation bc he draws too many fouls. But he is very good at altering shots from driving players. Anything beyond the basket we haven't really seen him do much yet.
Gary is a pretty good off ball defender and a pretty good rebounder. He is a bit of a tweener size wise. He isn't big enough to really handle any true big men down low (unless I'm forgetting a time when he showed that). He isn't the quickest perimeter defender either but he does give good effort. I think it's mostly his effort and rebounding which lead me to say he is solid. I haven't seen anything to say he's a great defender.
Miles may not even be a solid defender. I don't know what the stats showed but he didn't do much that I remember defensively. For the most part he seemed like a warm body. He's got a great wingspan but so far he doesn't play smart. Seems like he was probably in the top 3 for boneheaded plays on this team (quite an achievement). I like his talent but he needs to grow the frick up if he wants to have a career in basketball.
All that considered, I don't know that we have a great defender on the roster at this point. Burnett is supposed to be a really good perimeter defender, I think. But who knows if he will have the quickness he had before his injury. I think Gurley is underrated as a defender. He had some good blocks in some 1v1 situations down low. He might have the highest basketball IQ on the team. Who do you guys think gets that honor?

Muss said he puts out "fake" feelers so it throws off other teams. He has an algo that he uses for the transfer portal.
