I think it's pretty close between him and Davison. Rare to have that kind of athleticism, playmaking and finishing ability. If he can shoot a respectable percentage from deep, he's a damn near perfect PG pro prospect.

Landslide was probably too strong. I agree that JD is also really high on the ladder as far as pro potential. I was definitely not trying to diminish his abilities at all.

If JD and Tchikou both put it all together and reach their potential this season, I would expect Thchikou to be drafted ahead of JD because of his combination of athleticism and size with that much skill.

But Quinerly will be team leader.

Potential means they are not there at this point. Those two will have to deal with a different level of competition, and defensive coaching. JD will have players backing off of him if he cant shoot the 3. Tchikou will have to deal with physical players. JQ went through some difficult times last season.

Hands down the best I have seen Brandon Miller play. Not only is he scoring the ball at a high level but making plays on defense and passing too. Has 19 points on 9-12 from the field.

I am well aware of that.

The question was who do you think has the most pro potential in the eyes of NBA scouts. I agree with the others that the two clear cut options are Tchikou and JD.

My opinion was that if they both reach that potential (or at least most of it) this year and entered the upcoming draft, I think Tchikou would likely be drafted before JD. In this case they would both be lottery picks and likely top 10. I think JD's absolute ceiling is like a 3-5 pick, but I think Tchikou's ceiling could actually be #1 overall if everything went just right.

I could be wrong obviously - wouldn't be the first time. But that's my opinion on how I see it today.

Agree on Tchikou. If the production is there I could see him getting a lot of Durant comps when draft season rolls around.

The production really needs to be there though. Like 14 and 8 and ~38% from outside at a minimum.

Texas/OU to the SEC would make the SEC bigger, more powerful, richer and more prestigious.

This deal is about football, but those things will have a rising tide impact on MBB. SEC schools are already using the football brand in MBB recruiting... this would pour fuel on that.

Rodney Rice has really picked it up in the second half for @teamdurant_AAU after his quiet first half. 13 points on 5/10 shooting, including two made three’s. Started heating up in the third quarter and will look to keep it up.

Louisville, Alabama, Notre Dame, amongst those watching

From what I've seen of him, I don't think anyone would compare him to Durant. Sure, they're both similar size (I'm actually surprised to see Durant is bigger at 240 vs 225) and have a good shot. But Frenchie looks like a natural 4 to 5 guy, while Durant is a natural 3 that can run point. Tchikou has solid handles and clean shooting form, but I doubt you'll see him playing point forward.

His skillset at his size is very valuable for the NBA and it's not hard to envision him being drafted in the top 20 if he has a really good year.

I'd probably go JD, Tchikou, Ellis, JQ, and then Burnett as far as draft potential goes. Ellis needs to show he can put it all together for a full year, JQ can't really do anything about his size, and Burnett needs to shoot a higher percentage at this level. JD and Tchikou are lottery picks next year as long as they're healthy.

Some talk of Kansas moving to the B1G. That conference will forever have 5 in the top 10.

No doubt, and why is one of the biggest mysteries in sports to me. That conference hasn't won a NC in basketball in over 20 years.

Kaleb Banks to Indiana, Not sure if we cooled on him or not but he seemed to really like Bama at one point

Yeah, his name hasn't really come up with us at all lately. Not sure if that was his decision or ours. We have a few higher rated guys at his position so maybe we cooled on him?

Watch B10 fans try and claim 2008 now with Kansas. Maryland won in 2002 but they weren't in the B10 either. It does seem wild you have to go back to 2000 with Michigan State.

How do you guys feel our chances are with Nick Smith? I think we have a great chance with Bradley and Walker, and a good chance with Miller and Rice, Nick Smith Jr I am not sure about.
