Hoping Shack is coming back. While I believe Obanor/Cockburn could have made us better, I don't see anybody else that I'd rather have at this point. I really don't like our other choices, unless there is some high-impact reclassify candidate we're unaware of.

It's either Shack or a reclass. No way we don't use the spot. I would be dumbfounded. And pissed. Very pissed.

There's no possible way they knew this might happen and didn't work on any kind of contingency plan. They'd at least have been recruiting some of these last minute portal entries, but they don't really seem to be.

I feel like this was kinda glossed over. I think this was weird as frick. I'm think muss must be an insecure bitch. It's hilarious that Obanor actually admitted it was Muss to pushed him to include us.
That said, it's cool that Oats has us to the point where other top coaches are doing that. In football, I expect that. But that pretty much cements us as an elite SEC basketball and Oats an elite coach. I mean, I knew it, y'all knew it. But to see that is hilarious, but kinda cool.

The way Cockburn is pronounced makes me think someone in their family history made a conscious decision to change it to a very phonetically incorrect pronunciation. I can't think of one word or other name where a "ck" is silent

Toppin is still pretty interesting (he was just stuck behind Julius Randle all year), but I did sort of laugh out loud at Kevin Knox being thrown in - he is basically irrelevant at this point.
I do think a lot of NBA people aren't very high on Collin though. Some of that might be unfair; some of that might be that he's a 6'2 guard who doesn't create much offense for other players AND doesn't play especially good defense.
I think we have faith that he'll continue to work like a maniac to improve those facets of his game, but a lot of people probably don't give that much credence.
Regardless, I think Collin playing for the Knicks would be kind of fun. Let's get it done. Send Cleveland some Kevin Knox at Kentucky highlights.

I just saw this but I could not agree more. Never had anything but love for him was just turned off at the last minute indecisiveness. I would like to see less out of control drives. If he comes back I’ll be interested to see the development.

If we don't add anyone else what do you guys think the teams ceiling is? This is a thrown together/guessed at depth chart
PG - Quinerly, JD, Burnett
SG - JD, Burnett,
G/F - Ellis, Miles, Holt
F - Gurley, Gary, KAH
PF/C - Tchikou, Bediako, Gurley
Ellis will probably play the 4 at times, and Burnett will probably play the 3 when we want to go really fast, we have a pretty versatile roster. I would feel more comfortable from depth purposes if we add another guard, but if we don't I trust Oats and that he has a plan and a reason why we didnt.
