I dont even get why we would be going after Cockburn he is a terrible fit for our system. I can't see a guy that's 285 lbs and can't shoot meshing into our offense very well. He was slow even by big 10 standards.

Jesus, Shack is so disrespected here.
Jesus seems to get a lot of respect. Shack gets some, but he had several flaws that heavily decreased our team's efficiency. So there aren't many tears. Burnett is getting a hyped. But that's really excited covering he's hype from HS and potential ceiling.
But I know one person who doesn't get any respect around here. And it ain't Rodney Dangerfield.

Pure speculation here...
Look at Phoenix and their starting lineup. Lots of 3s, and a center who plays monster D and cleans up on offense. Cockburn could be hoping to play a role like Ayton. And besides some mid range shots from superstars like Paul and Booker, we run a style similar to a majority of the NBA.

Fever, we don’t see eye to eye very often, but I can at least respect your opinion and know that you are a true fan, I just can’t with that shithead. I respect nothing about him.

Solid point but Ayton was the number 1 pick in the draft after his freshman year, Cockburn wouldn't have been drafted if he had went pro this year. Good player but he is no Ayton. I would take Ayton on our team in a heartbeat.

Dante Hall in Oats system is the dream.

Despite reports, Jaden Shackelford IS still considering a return to Alabama.
Not sure how legit this account is but Nate OAts and Hodgson follows them.

100%. But he's a damn good center, that's relatively athletic. Oats could definitely use him to make the green team better. Would've already been a first round guys several years ago.
Quin
JD
Ellis
Gurley
Cockburn
That would put us back in the top 8, maybe top 5.

I disagree. It's nice to be informed on the latest discussion points at tide fans, without actually having to go there.

Hey I wouldn't be mad if we signed Cockburn just surprised.
Obanor seems like a much better fit, he makes
more sense to me.
I wouldn’t be mad if we added Shack back either.

He'd be the shittiest poster on TideFans, which is honestly kind of impressive.

Did you watch the video I posted a few posts up with Bediako making threes? Thoughts? I never saw Engstrom, Jimmy Taylor, or Gueye make a three.
Thoughts: he gets a good arc on his shot, same as with his free throws. But what I didn't see at all in that video and what i havent seen him do is dribble the basketball. That's how raw he is. If this dude wasn't 6'11, even if he was just 6'7, he wouldn't be on a basketball court.

Obanor is a big time player and has done it when it mattered. He would make us a much better team. not to mention we don't need to see him in a Gator or Arky suit.
I think Shackleford would probably be better served with a change, and Bama would too. Likely he and his dad would never be happy here again, and all parties would be better off elsewhere.

If we got Obanor do yall think Terrion Arnold would be in line to get minutes? I think he would be more likely to actually play than Kool Aid

So why is Shackelford wanting to transfer?
Posted on 7/11/21 at 7:48 am to Hoyt
Daddy wants him to run the point, allegedly.

If not Obanor, and we lose shack, who else would yall want to potentially get?
Everybody seems to assume Cockburn is the other target. What about Keith Williams from Cincinnati? He is a 6'5" 215 guard, averaged 14.3 pts, 4.1 rbs, 39% shooting. One thing I like about him is he supported John Brannon and is transferring because Cincinnati fired Brannon. I like a team guy who apparently does not whine about running the steps. In Torvik transfer ratings, Shack is #5, Williams #9. Pretty even trade but would get a bigger guard.
