NBA Youngblood had a great game. Got the postgame interview. 19 points on 7-10 shooting. Last game he had 15 on 4-7. I hate that injuries marred his time here a little bit. He does a lot of the little stuff that it takes to win.

Bad thing about it theres no room on that roster everyones back. I watched some of the game he's playing well but to what end?

The announcers at one point said that they do have a little room at guard, but my thinking is that the front office there is so good with player development, they got him to stash and develop in the G league until another guard gets too good to pay what OKC wants and they can bump him (or someone) up.

What Holt is looking for in a school

“I want them to actually need me. So I want to go somewhere I’m needed. If I feel like, you know, they recruit other five stars, which is cool to play with some of those guys. But I want to have somewhere I can get loose and play my game without some other five-star wanting the same. So yeah, just the best fit. A coach that’s gonna let me defend and I wanted to defend. A coach is gonna let me play my offensive game. Of course, make the right plays and everything. I’m always gonna make the right play, but a coach who believes in me to do the stuff I can showcase.”

Common attitude in basketball these days unfortunately. Especially among these guys who know it's when rather than if they are drafted. I'm sure we're pitching our playing style as letting him get a lot of touches while also sharing the ball.

To what end is maybe a two way contract and a place on their G League team. Plus overseas scouts watch these games.

Watched team scrimmage today. Continue to be really impressed by team. Bol looks really, really good. Has some serious hops. Bristow just makes them happen. AH looked really good today. Obviously, LP and JB are studs. AS looked as good as i have seen him .. much more plysical. AND HM still shooting lights out.

Youngblood great again with a game-high 21 in 22 minutes on 7-12 shooting and 5-8 from 3. Looking like he’s gonna deserve a 3 and D spot on somebody’s roster.

Sears is yet to dress with a calf strain.

Apparently, Primo is out of the summer league with a foot injury.

Estrada with the Grizzlies up next at 9:30 CST

ETA: I spy Alex Reese on the Grizzlies’ bench.

Definitely a couple of troubling quotes. I'm not gonna read too much into it right now. Some guys are better at articulating their point than others. But if he's regularly talking about me, me, me, then it's not sounding good.

It also makes me think about some of the top recruits that we've missed where it was probably a blessing in disguise. You want team players. Not guys who just wants to showcase their skills to NBA scouts.

The Thunder have one two- way contract left of the three allowed. Who knows, but Chris may very well get that spot after his strong performance in summer league.

As well as he's played he could stick. I kept getting PO'd at the announcers mentioning his POY earlier in his career and never mentioning Bama LOL

That would be a great place to develop. Glad to see him doing well. Though it sucks we didn't get to see this Youngblood play due to recovering from injuries.

well he never really struck me as a potential nba guy but by the end of the year he had become a pretty invaluable piece. his added floor spacing, toughness, and general poise made him a life savior at times, esp at that position. i doubt many bama fans will ever forget the way he punked cbm for being the psychotic mental midget that he is to help get that auburn win. i think the fact chris does have that kind of old school mental edge about himself is what can give him a genuine chance despite whatever physical gifts he may be lacking in.
