but I legitimately thought Stevenson was a darkhorse guy to be one of the best players in the country coming into this year.
I thought Stevenson obviously had a lot of potential as a freshman, but he was still raw, so I figured it would take some time for him to really develop.

Damn. That hurts man. Maybe it's best for the team, but I loved that guy.
From an efficiency standpoint he was one of our best players.

Lot of obsessions over Stevenson and Reid.

One thing that a lot of people may not be considering is that Mo might've played his way into a payday. While he's more of a glue guy/hustler for us, could be a key cog in another system. I'm sure he knows what kind of offers are out there for him vs what we are willing to pay for his role in our system. He may not even be satisfied with his role.
With the fricked up system as it is, there are going be some guys the fans want that will leave because we don't want to pay what someone else will. But for every player that leaves, there's a dozen mid major stars who want to show scouts that they can play in an NBA system.
I'm just glad we're a team that players want to be at, vs having to beg guys and win bidding wars.

Lol. I figured he got a big offer. But that would be stupid for him to turn down, or for us to match.

Stevenson is like if a 13 year-old 5 foot tall freshman grew to be 611 overnight and then play basketball. It’s like he has no idea how tall he is and what he can do.

Let’s hope we keep Philon at all costs except the NBA option.
Too many new faces mess up the chemistry and it takes many games to re-establish it.
We never really gelled this year like the previous year even though this team had more talent.
That said, hated to see Dioubate leave.

Probably had to make hard decisions as to Stevenson, Sherrell, Mo D and Reid as far as front court starters. You can’t go paying a backup $1.5.

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of Stevenson or Reid left

Stevenson is reminding me of Miles; same type of career. Oats liked them both, gave them a lot of chances. Didn’t amount to anything. Flakes. Hope I am not being too harsh.

Jfc. Does anyone know a decent Alabama basketball board to post/read?

Noles aren't mad, they're just disappointed.

While both could be aloof and uncoordinated at times, they're two totally different players/career arcs.
Miles was a likeable depth wing who was forced into more minutes than he probably should've had his second year & more of a 2/3. Jarin was/is a blue chip prospect who, at times, plays small but has already contributed to a final 4 run, has NBA upside, and has started a significant chunk of the games he's played. He's also more of a 3/4/VERY small ball 5. Not really seeing the comparison.

We don't need every guy doing the same thing.
Somebody has to be a glue guy.
Hopefully, somebody will fill that role!
GUY!

Who's the so called source throwing out a 1.5m offer?
Just sounds like CAP!

I assumed St. John's when I saw it, too. However, a guy on TI that generally has reliable info said Ole Miss made a big offer today. According to him, Mo had asked for a boost several times. We gave more each time. Finally, he asked for a much higher amount again and we said "No thanks". Who knows? Take that FWIW.

yep, truly heartbreaking to lose him. not the kind of guy that can be replaced, atleast on the surface of things. unlike some here i will always appreciate just how much value he truly gave us every game and will hope to death he doesnt stay in the sec. that would be very not good. congrats on the bag mo.

It could be true but I just don't see Mo Dioubate doing that.
