So there’s a guy in that Discord who text Rylan all the time( he has posted proof it’s legit too) and he said Rylan HATES Kansas offense and hates Self.

Yeah I saw Reid like tweak his ankle near the end of that game.

I guess he could always come back for his final year. No clue if Oats would want him to or not.

The fans love him, they want him to start, Self just isn’t giving him the opportunity.

I’d be shocked if Mick Cronin coached another game of college basketball after this season. Dude looks miserable and like he hates the game now.

He probably will, but I wouldn't bet on it being at UCLA. Can't really say I blame him if he wants a change in scenery. The team is bad again (granted, that's partially on him), the cross country travel has to be a bitch already, and his house may burn down at any minute.

From what I recall Oats had known he was out at the end of the season for a while and didn't seem to hold a grudge, so he probably would take him back.

Philon is a huge upgrade to Rylan, to me. Hiss upside potential is amazingly high

I don’t see how anyone could have a different opinion.

I liked Rylan and he was an asset to the team but Philon is just at an entirely different level. I’m not sure he won’t be a one and done.

Mock drafts have Philon as our only 1st round player. He'd be a lottery pick if he shot 3s better.

I really don't want to only have him for 1 year where he isn't even the lead guard, but that's probably where we're heading. Then again, from what Nate has said about their conversations when he was a recruit it didn't sound like 1 and done was part of his plan for college, so maybe he will stick to whatever his plan was. You never know how people are going to react to rapidly changing life circumstances. Going from the expectation that he'd just be an end of the bench guy to thinking he might be a first round pick over the course of like 6 months is a lot to take in for someone his age.

He's probably gone, but you'd have to think hard about the prospect of running the show in Oats' offense for a year after Sears leaves. Improve the shot, scoring, usage, etc. and he's an easy top 5 pick in 2026.

Not like he wouldn't be making money to do it, either.

We’re getting a fair amount of 1-seed love right now. It’s currently ISU, Tennessee, and Bama jostling for two spots

Big Quad 1 opportunity for the fellas tonight

Time for us to pony up in NI (or shift what we already have). Barners did it with Broome and that has been a wise investment

Interested to see if Oats sticks with the same starting 5 tonight. Ole Miss is going to start 4 guards in all likelihood, so it could be a tough cover for us. May make sense to start Youngblood for Cliff if he's still nursing that ankle, though that puts Nelson at the 5.

If they start 4 guards we will throw lobs all night. Really hope Reid is ready too. He will eat 4 guards for a snack.

Tough cover for us? Let’s talk about Ole Miss starting 4 guards against our 6’1, 6’4, 6’10, 6’10, 6’11 starting lineup…that’s a tough cover for them.

Too bad Reid may not play. Put him at the 2, and then it's 4 guys over 6'8" on the court.

I kinda regret not playing a true cupcake, just so we could've tried some absurd lineup combos.

Other than Holloway, they all played like crap last night. And the one and done basically got benched.

Oats basically said Philon needs to just concentrate on playing harder. He won’t be one and done based on his last 3 games. Hopefully he hasn’t hit the wall like many freshmen tend to do.
That playing harder applies to almost the entire team.
