I'm struggling not to irrationally get angry when I see such major hype. It's like the main sign of Alabama Basketballitis.

I contend we spend the entire offseason reliving terrible Alabama basketball moments of the last 50 years just to get our minds right

I really hope Nate is talking to Coach Saban about how to handle rat poison.

2000 Football and 2007 Basketball has scarred me about preseason expectations.

He loved to lay fricking eggs on the road. We won the SEC and then went and lost in the Tad Pad by 30 the next game

2000 Football the writing really was on the wall. We were coach by an absolute doofus who rode Shaun Alexander and Chris Samuels to an SEC title. As soon as those two were gone he had no clue. Oats is the opposite of that lol.

This years basketball team the only trepidation I have is that there were times last year were we looked just ok. We got knocked out of the SEC tourney by Florida and(aside from UNC) caught some lucky seeding breaks. You need those types of things to happen to make the final 4 as a pretty good team.

I sincerely think we’re in a much better spot for next year though. The biggest difference is talented depth if someone is hurt, cold, in foul trouble, etc.

Last year we had Grant defending guys in the post, getting in immediate foul trouble, and the Sam Walters comes in getting cooked because he has slow feet. That won’t happen this year. We have every kind of lineup we can throw at teams.

It’s a funny thing and the nature of a 1 and done tournament. 2 years ago we had the best player and our best chance(up to that point) of winning it but got put out. Last year I thought we were rebuilding and somehow went on a run.

Next year will unquestionably be our best TEAM ever. But they’ve gotta go put it together.

We once had Ben Eblin as a backup PG.

Bill Battle getting publicly humiliated by the coach at fricking Wichita State.

Sending half the team home with a staffer like an hour before tipoff @CorndogU

Gottfried on the road.

Gottfried on the golf course.

That shitbag Willie Cauley-Stein who Cal stole from us despite literally never seeing him play fricking basketball.

Losing to a Tony Barbee coached Barn despite holding them under 50.

We matched up horribly vs Clemson. I don't know how a hobbled Pringle summoned his inner Ben Wallace, but that team has a ton of size and physicality in the post.

This year, it seems like we're gonna have a lineup for any matchup.

This. We got lucky that Clemson missed free throws later in the game. They definitely had some muscle in the paint. Amazing win by our guys. It was a tough match up.

Just wanna point out Clemson missed 8 FTs….we missed 7. FTs didn’t cost them the game…if you wanna see how team lose a game at the FT line go watch Alabama vs UCLA 2021 NCAA tournament

Still the most painful loss I’ve had as a Tide hoops fan. Idk if it’s because I’d just gone and watched us win the SECT or the age and experience on that team, but I really thought we’d make the final four that year. And we would have had we not shot below 50% from the line or had the refs called a charge and not a block on Herb late when we were up 1.

Winner of that probably gets the prize money. Notre Dame and Rutgers would have a hard time beating either

They’ll still be on the first half of their freshmen year playing against very experienced teams. We have studs coming in likely riding the pine lol
