The question is where would we go with that scholarship? The depth is crazy everywhere. I say find the best 3 and D small forward that’s available

I would still be a little worried about the backup 4 if it's Jarin, it'd be Mo and I guess Reid. I have a bit more confidence in Aden and Philon replacing Sears' minutes.

But Aden or Philon would more than likely have to be a starter and the other a backup if Sears leaves, whereas that's not the case for Mo or Reid (though I think Reid has a great chance of starting at the 3). I think Stevenson has a great chance of a sophomore jump this year and would love to have him back, but there's no question that Sears is the much bigger decision.

If we miss on Sears, I hope we offer Nolan Traore the NIL package we were offering Sears. PG is already our least proven area depth-wise, and Traore is about as much of a slam dunk as you can get. Honestly think he could be in the #1 discussion next year (in a loaded class) if the team at that spot needs a PG.

I mean yeah Nelson is the starter but I'm just talking about Jarin's minutes. Sherrell is probably going to be primarily the back up 5 and Reid is going to be competing for the starting job at the 3, if he comes off the bench he can play both spots back up roles I guess. Then you have Mo D, who had some nice moments. Just saying I think Jarin leaving would leave a pretty big hole at the back up 4 spot.

Congrats to Derrion. He made the U18 US national team. They're going to be playing in Buenos Aires next month.

We need to rub Purdue's nose in it. No Neckbolts Edey this time to save them.

Friday before a home football game (albeit Mercer). No excuse for Coleman to not be rocking.

Don't look now, but maybe the most impressive showing at the U18 trials (posted just above with Derrion Reid) was from Daniel Jacobsen, a 7'3" center committed to Purdue.

Only thing I'll say is that the 4 spot is a position where we are deep. Obviously Nelson, but also Reid, Sherrell, and MoDi can play it.

Well it’s away this year so there’s definitely an excuse for Coleman to be empty

Also doing the parent-child camp this Saturday. There's a team practice from 12:00 - 1:00 during the lunch break so I'll report with observations on the newcomers.

Yeah im not worried about depth at the 4. If Stevenson gets drafted that just means that Nate Oats can take a young off the radar kid and put him in the league, every year.

Edey at this level was a monster and almost impossible for us to deal with. He hit us for 35 in Toronto and they don't beat us without him.

They might have a 7'3 newcomer but I don't see that kind of production from a freshman.

So we know today is the deadline day. I believe I heard Sears has a Milwaukee workout today. Is there a deadline time?
