I know Oats will complain about lack of consistent effort on defense but it's not all that. We don't make adjustments on defense. He only makes line up changes.
There are several other reasons for our issues tonight but I just don't want to get into it all.

Very curious what the scoring percentage by possession is for A&M. Feels like it has to be at least 90%

100% agree

Nate was once again dog shite tonight when things went bad early.

The ceiling for this team is round of 32, and that’s only if the good version randomly shows up for a game.

Different starting 5 every game doesn't build much team chemistry either

With the lack of effort, game over, 19 damn turnovers, put the damn walkons in.

I don't know why I keep letting this team trick me into believing in them

This is a big deal. We literally just need to stick to one starting lineup at this point

Absolutely zero changes to defensive strategy as the other team just rams it into the lane over and over is a coaching issue.

We did nothing. Just kept on pressing their guards up high, getting beat and having to franticly help.

And Nate made ZERO adjustment. That's fvckin terrible.

I’m hoping for mid majors, big ten, and big east teams

How do you get your arse kicked at home by a mediocre opponent this late in the season? Pathetic.

One note on something A&M did that was very successful.
They had a set plan of doubling the ball handler when he got to a certain area while the other three sagged into the passing lanes.

Very rarely do we make adjustments it seems like. It’s do what we do and if that doesn’t work, blame effort.

Because when they lock in and compete at max effort for 40 minutes they are capable of being very good.

Gotta recruit more alpha high energy players. Shack and JQ have the energy of your average grandma

Keon Ellis and Rojas will be two that I miss.

I might get pissed at them (mainly you Rojas5 , but I’ve never found myself questioning either of their effort at any point. And that’s the only 2 I can say this about in terms of who’s leaving.

JQ and JD can be replaced. I wouldn’t be upset in the slightest if Shack came back, but the portal could negate his loss if he was to take off for the pros.

I think Gary, Miles, Holt, shack (maybe) and Gurley are your returners, and then you get to work in the portal looking for shooters, preferably on the 3 and D side if possible but just at LEAST 3 point shooters.

Oats knows he’s gotta remold the roster to an extent, and I’m very curious to see how he attacks this in the offseason.

It's Gus Malzahn basketball if we're being brutally honest. And that's not a disaster or anything, but it's definitely a legitimate comparative.

Embarrassing loss. No answers defensively. This team just can’t get out of it’s own way. 29 points off turnovers for a&m
