It’s actually going up almost every game.., are we improving?

I haven't thought "oh frick here we go again" while we're at the line in a while, so anecdotally I'd say yes we are.

Just give it time. I’m sure we’ll miss 4 of 6 in the final minute against LSU or something.

Yeah unless you're on the bubble, the conference tournament doesn't impact your seeding very much. I think even the committee said a few years ago that unless something drastic happens, your seeding is basically done before the championship round.

I would say that we are getting a 5 right now, might get a 4 if we beat Aggy and the corndogs, and might get a 3 if we win the conference tournament. Even losing our next 3 shouldn't drop us below a 6 though I don't think. I hope not at least.

Agree - I think we're pretty set in the 4/5 range

> Win out Regular season and win SECT - #3 or #4
> Win out Regular season anything other than win SECT - #4 or #5
> Split Regular season any SECT result - #5
> Lose out - #5 or #6

I’m sure it’s been discussed, but did I hear that Gurley is coming back during the SCAR game? How do we feel about that?

Does he and Bediako start or is that too big for Oats system?

Sorry I know this is an off topic question.

Yea Gurley announced he is definitely coming back and apparently the word is Shack is also coming back (he didn't do senior night).

I feel good about it. He provides some good stuff and will have a full year in the system, and after our injuries the last decade I want as many experienced bodies on the roster as we can pack on there.

Man if Shack really comes back that’s going to be something.

However, if he is returning I don’t feel good about JD coming back. We have a really good point and forward coming in, and I’m sure they expect to start or at least play a lot of minutes.

Yea the roster makeup will be interesting. Nimari returns, too, obviously.

I'm sure 3 guys will fall down the stairs and break their ankles or something, though.

If Gurley is able to not count against the 13 scholarships because he's using his COVID year then it'd make things easier as far as bringing in a portal guy or two.

We have 5 coming in and are definitely losing JQ, Rojas, and Ellis. Tchikou and KAH are probably like 95% to the portal. So the numbers work out fine there. It's just a question on how the staff feels about everyone else + who is available in the portal. JD is kind of the wild card since he's being projected by some people to go late 1st. I think he declares but retains the possibility of returning and what he does will depend on whether he gets a guarantee of going in the first from anyone.

I’m excited about the forward coming in. He’s got Herb time length, but he’s more of a scorer where Herb was a defender.

We aren't definitely losing JQ although it's probable. He said it wasn't a 100% certainty himself.

Nate hates timeouts with the fire of 1,000 suns just like his colleague Mr. Saban

Didn’t the assistant coach call 2 timeouts when Oats got thrown out? That was the most timeouts we’ve used in months.

Obviously a lot of us have been a bit disappointed with his performance this season but he's been playing a lot better this month. If his current form carries for the rest of the season and into next year, he's going to be a really valuable guy to have off the bench, especially not counting against the scholarship limit.

If Shack is indeed coming back, it's going to be interesting to see how the back-court rotation shakes out.

Palm’s latest bracket has Alabama as a No. 4 seed playing in Milwaukee against Toledo. Nate Oats is from the Milwaukee area and this would be a rematch with one of his old MAC opponents.

Palm's bracket would have our path be:

> 1ST ROUND - #13 Toledo
> 2ND ROUND - #5 Ohio State/#12 South Dakota St (STAY AWAY)
> SWEET 16 - #1 Gonzaga

West Regional is in San Francisco at the new Warriors arena. That would be pretty awesome.

He wouldn't have participated in the senior day stuff if he was coming back. He gone.
