Alabama's last regular season victory over a No. 1 team came on Jan. 8, 1994 in a 66-64 home victory over Arkansas.
I was there. Coleman was rocking that day.

Alabama Basketball Just Outside of AP Top 25
Even with the win over Baylor, Alabama remains on the outs of the top-25, but will have plenty of opportunity to get back in as its next two opponents are both in the top-five of this week's poll.
The Crimson Tide received 97 total points in the week 13 AP Poll which would put them at 26th if the rankings continued that far.
Alabama has wins over No. 2, 6, 8, 22 and 25 in this week's poll and could potentially pick up two more top-five wins this week against the Tigers and Wildcats.

his is a problem for a lot of programs. Really hard to fix problem too since you'd have to basically boot high donor $ seats to fix
Why is that a problem Gene? The MFers show up for maybe the UK and Arkansas and Auburn games and don't darken the doorway again. They buy the seats for the Tide Pride points and don't give a damn about the basketball program. They sell the tickets on the open market to anyone who will buy them or leave them empty.
IMHO, Tide Pride needs to be cleaned up in this manner: you buy season tickets, we track how many games you go to. If you go to less than 50% of the games in any sport you purchase season tickets for, you either lose those tickets or your are charged a penalty fee on top of your regular donations. And that fee is cumulative. So if you do it one year, your fee is 10% of your donation. Do it again and it's 20%, again 30%, etc. You'll either use those seats or they will get too damn expensive to keep. Something like this needs to be done to keep the FOGs out of Coleman and the profiteers out of Tide Pride.

would you do that for the college kids at football games when they leave early? I am not an alumnus nor do I have season tickets but the fogs, as you guys call them are mostly UA graduates meaning they paid their dues years ago and have the right to act or not act anyway they want to. It is their money that makes the sports department work.

Mr. Broker, I am simply saying they are abusing a loophole in the system to benefit themselves to the detriment of the athletic department. Close the loophole and/or stop the abuse. If they care about Alabama, they should see the problem and be ok with a solution to it.

Here is an Idea….Don’t tie Tide Pride points to Basketball seats.
Or…..How I would do it is..Tide Pride seats aren’t transferable, and you have to be in your seat 15 minutes before Tip. If you aren’t Then have a drawing amongst Students who paid $3-$5 to enter drawing and Put students who win the drawings in those seats.

One game I would really want to watch tomorrow as well is Chris Beard going back to Texas Tech tomorrow night.
That whole city is buzzing with hatred for him right now (understandably even though UT is his alma mater) and they’re better this year than Texas. That place will be hell in a cell for 40 mins tomorrow.
Mark Adams is a defensive mastermind.

First person to bean him with a tortilla will never have to buy a drink in Lubbock again.

I have been about as big a Chris Beard stan as one can be going back to when he was at UALR. I will say though that what Mark Adams has kept going at Tech makes me wonder how much of everything was him. Guess we will find out with more time on both of them.
Not saying that Beard is a fraud by any means but his calling card has always been that Defense.

I have no beef with anyone on this board ever but this clown IRobbedMyMom needs to go. Every time I come in this basketball thread and see his name he’s spewing off insults and vulgarity toward someone. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point.
