quote:You shouldn’t. Reese provided value on offense, he could open the floor and draw a 4/5 to the perimeter. However he was a total liability on defense, man or zone. That would be a major concern this year with no Petty and Herb to offset this. He would definitely serve a purpose though, unlike Rojas who is a net negative on the court
I'll get stoned for saying this but we miss Reese as well

Coach Hodgson’s sister had a Christmas Day house fire - family is OK but they lost everything. Here’s his announcement:
I’m not soliciting donations - just making basketball fans aware (the UA Men’s Basketball team Twitter account also retweeted his announcement). I was looking through the gofundme list of contributors and saw where Coach O’Brien’s family made a sizable donation. Below is a link to Coach Hodgson’s tweet about the situation and info about the gofundme if anyone wants to look it up and follow it.

My sister, Ashley Chase, her husband Casey and four children lost everything in a Christmas day house fire. The family was away from the home at the time for Christmas dinner, and returned to their home totally engulfed in flames. They lost every single thing they own except the clothes on their backs. They have a teenage daughter and son, as well as a 3 year old daughter, and 3 month old son. Thank you so much for your support!

I’m actually feeling pretty good about this game against Tennessee
Which is concerning. I think if we score 70 we win, they don’t have the offense to keep up.
On the other side, if we keep playing defense like we have then idk..

When looking at the two teams. I think it will come down how well Bama rebounds on the defensive side. Tennessee is one of the better offensive rebounding teams in the country. Tennessee hasn’t played that well as a whole away from home. They also struggle getting to the line and converting which I think is crucial for road teams trying to get a win.

The best thing for the Crimson Tide to do is to do what it did last season: put the non-conference portion of the season and hit the ground running in SEC play.

Crazy to think that one of the selling points for taking Mizzou into the conference was for their basketball program. Meanwhile they have made ATL multiple times and have gone to absolute crap in basketball.

Removing our games, out of conference went 105-30.
Jax St/Memphis have 9 of those 30 losses. Over 77%.
Beat the Vols!

"Davidson wasn't a great offensive rebounding team, they're more execution and back cut but they got some o-boards that hurt us. We've got to do a better job on the defensive glass, we've got to pressure the ball."
