Fulkerson is the only one that worries me. But Tennessee can lay some fricking bricks on offense. If our shots are falling I feel pretty confident in this one
Houston and Memphis were laying bricks and grabbing rebounds.
A certain points in those games I truly believe they wanted to miss because the putbacks were easy finishes

Why tf does Casagrande even cover Alabama basketball is all he’s gonna do is troll LINK
Didn’t Oats get annoyed by him recently or did I dream this?

I honestly don’t remember but it wouldn’t surprise me
We could win the national title this year and Casagrande would probably tweet a list of the players with rings that Western Kentucky beat

Can Alabama Get Defensive Issues Fixed? That Depends on Mentality Moving Forward
Alabama was ranked third in the nation in defensive efficiency last season, but are No. 52 heading into SEC play next week.

We’ve looked unmotivated on defense, ball stagnant, and have gotten killed on the boards (all hustle things) in all our losses.
Memphis is the only loss where we lost the rebound battle. We actually dominated Davidson on the glass, 39-27 (16-4 in ORB).
Our problem against Davidson was that you can’t rebound makes.

True, but Davidson was sending their wings and guards back after shots to stop our transition, to make us play half court. It worked. McKillop is one of the best coaches Oats has faced this year. He's been good a long time.

Yeah I can’t complain about our ranking at all. Iowa St might be one of the worst top ten teams of all time. They’ll fall hard when conference play starts

It’s pretty telling that our big wins are against teams that like to play at our pace. Gonzaga and Houston are both top 15 tempo teams.
I think that’s kind of what we’ve seen to this point. If we run and our opponent runs with us, we look comfortable and can probably play with anyone. If our opponent slows the pace down and forces us to play a half court game, we look awkward on both sides of the ball.
I don’t think that’s a surprise to anyone, but the frustrating part is that we’ve allowed less talented, less athletic teams to dictate the pace of the game. We’re going to play some slow, clunky teams in conference this year. If we can’t force our tempo or find some semblance of a half court game, we’re going to struggle in games that we weren’t expecting a month ago.
