You could say “but it is even better at …”. I prefer the positive take.

I stand by what I said. This would be the most impressive win of the season so far TO ME.
We’re all entitled to an opinion, I just can’t wrap my head around yours. I respect you sticking to your guns but the only time I’ve disagreed with you more was on the Langston Wilson talk. I got downvoted to hell for suggesting people wanted Wilson over Bediako but YOU did lmao.

Side note: orange is hideous. It should be removed from the color wheel immediately.

The more I look at the metrics on Houston, the more I think they’re severely underrated in the polls. That’s a damn good team and I was much more impressed with their scheme and athleticism than Gonzaga’s.

Also, they played on Friday and we played to almost midnight Saturday night, we're traveling and they're not. All adds up to a dangerous situation for us.

Earlier in the week I was thinking they’ll give us a good game but I really think we’ll blow them out after watching their last three games. They have 0 reliable shooters and they play iso hero ball. If we don’t lay a complete egg we win this one pretty easily.

Thankfully, Bama has only played 2 games since November 29. Preparation is a factor, but fatigue shouldn't be

By the way, who's ready to have their eyeballs assaulted?

I would have to consider cancelling my season tickets if our court looked like that. Nope. No thanks.

I liked penny when he was playing and I was a kid. I have grown to greatly dislike him since he came on the scene as a college coach.

Hope Bama doesn't get spitroasted on that court.

That may be the worst floor I’ve ever seen at the collegiate level.

I think its more silly for a solid P5 type program like Oregon but a great idea for a little publicity for schools like FIU. Hard to forget about that court.

I think most if not all of us agree.

Call it either the basketball version of Shula syndrome or simply a fear of what would be a normal human reaction to relax after surviving Gonzaga and Houston but the thought of laying that complete egg is in the front of our minds.

Agree

Though there is another large piece here, which is that Memphis is absurdly talented, playing at home and at some point could put together a Custard's Last Stand type of effort. Tonight seems like a night where they would do that if it's in them. Might not be, but if they do, it'll be a scrap. They have 2 lottery picks and 3-4 guys who were all-conference players last year. There is a reason this team was picked to be a Top 5/10 team pre-season.

Even our shitty Avery teams that had no idea what they were doing but had talent would show up sometimes in home games with their backs against the wall.

And I mean even if that happens, we don't play great and lose.........it's really not that huge a deal. It would suck, but it would be a Q1 or at very worst Q2 loss. Memphis is gonna go 20-10 (12-6) or something and it's a true road game.

Tonight is a big test - if we come out and control this one start to finish on short rest after the last 2 big wins.......this team might have officially turned into something.

True!
The mental toughness of this team will be on display tonight. Expect Memphis to come out with their hair on fire, and play with a vengeance, but if we can withstand the onslaught and gain the momentum, that'll go a long way to proving our metal! Big-time teams win games like this!
