Well, it worked out, but Auburn not making the tournament wasn't set in stone. All the bureaucratic frickery of the NCAA holding out our best player for all of non-con and all of the guys we had capable of playing the 1 getting hurt were why we weren't a tournament team.

There was a short period where we were playing the second or third best ball in the conference. Just melted down.

I watched the Memphis / Murray State game.

Memphis played pretty hard effort wise defensively against Murray St but were a text book of every little thing that helps you lose a game: not blocking out, completely unforced turnovers, not guarding the hot 3pt shooter (once it was on an inbounds pass with 2 seconds on the shot clock), also too many one-against-the-defense shots on the offensive end etc etc

Tyler Harris, the short point guard transfer, was their most effective player. Murray St had a lot of trouble keeping him out of the lane.

I'm sure they'll be fired up to show their pro-potential against us Tuesday but I'll be pretty disappointed if we don't win. They're just not a real good basketball team from what I see.

Memphis is bad. We should not lose that game. Dude can’t coach.

Memphis defense is very athletic and flies around. They score most of their points off of turnovers and scoring in the open court. Their halfcourt sets are very iso heavy and there’s no off ball movement at all. Just standing around and watching. If we don’t come ready to play they can give us a game, but if we aren’t turning the ball over we should bury them. Tonight definitely concerns me more, and I’m very curious to see CSU vs Miss st today
