Looks like Davin Cosby is going to Wake. Best of luck to him. Another guy I would've loved to see develop. But glad he's going somewhere decent.

Davin Cosby Jr. has announced that he will be transferring to Wake Forest

What a world we live in where we've got guys transferring out to programs like Wake, Kansas, Michigan, Memphis, Arizona, and Wichita State, have still managed to make a Final Four during that time, and are still possibly pre-season ranked in the Top 5.

Things are good, boys.

I believe we've transitioned from the golden age of football to the golden age of basketball. And I'm here for it.

Yes, yes, for you downvoters, we totally aren't leaving the golden age of football. The next coach is going to be just as good as, or even better than the greatest of all time.

Football will probably be alright, but for me, I've been waiting for this era of Bama basketball for over 30 years. I'm stoked.

Agreed. I prefer for football to still be good because the FOG natives get restless if basketball seems to be getting to much attention and the football program is either in transition or in a moment of struggle. I also just think overall it creates a good healthy balance. I still remember when Mark Gottfried became the first coach of any sport at Alabama to make a million a year. There was a fair amount of rumbling about that beneath the surface.

Football is 1A for me and basketball is 1B

But there is something to be said about the lovable losers winning. Chicago folks have seen tons of championships but the Cubs World Series seemed different to them. I was on cloud 9 for an entire week after the Clemson game

Because there's fewer games, football Saturdays are more of an event. Family and friends get together and party. Basketball has those games, but individual games aren't as big of a thing. Personally, I love having weeknight games to watch. Especially with how many quality opponents we've played.

I feel like i'm supposed to be way more upset about Rylan leaving than I actually am.

Don't get me wrong, it sucks from a "he's been here for two years and is one of our guys" standpoint for sure.

But just from a talent/basketball/roster perspective, I don't have a lot of concern with being able to replace Rylan's production. I keep seeing the CBB experts/media/talking heads saying things like Rylan is maybe the best shooter in the portal or he's maybe the best 3&D wing in the portal and i'm just thinking to myself - Rylan is a nice player and does a couple of things well, but he is by no means a player that I look at and think now that's a guy that can really elevate a team to a level that they would never reach without him. Maybe he will look like a different guy in the Kansas system.

I wish him well and hope he got paid handsomely and all that, but i'm not losing a wink of sleep over him tbh. I think some of the guys we already brought in from the portal can replicate what we would've gotten from him next year. Maybe i'm alone on that though.

I'd love to play Virginia, because they stylistic difference would be interesting to see. I'd love to play Kansas, because frick em.
