They do an MMA style pat down during walkouts. It's pretty common throughout high school and college basketball. They've been doing it all year. That being said it might have been a good idea to put it on hold for a while.

We’ve done it with freshman the past 3 years. They’re trying to simulate them being too young to get into a club. The senior gives a thumbs up like a body guard afterwards, saying they’re ok.

One thing I think is most impressive about this game, is the fact that we were 1 of 21 from 3FGs. We have our last 2 3s in the final couple minutes. We shot like shite all day, but still shot it clutch in the end, when they were making a fierce run.

I don't see the correlation of a pat down and someone else giving their gun to their friend to commit murder?
Anyways, this version of JQ is the version we need to win the NCAA. I have said it all season, we NEED JQ.
Bradley for me shouldn't be depended on in the stretch and needs another season at Alabama (I have read he wants to go to the draft).

Of course they will. But let's be honest, we should've stopped that shite after Miles' arrest. The optics are fricking terrible. I'm amazed it hasn't been picked up on until now. But it makes us look like assholes under the circumstances. Like we are making light off a murder.
We're under a microscope, and everyone wants us to frick up. Instead, we should stop the dumb theatrics and just beat their asses on the court.

If he did finger guns I would get how that could be offensive, but a pat down?

So let's not be disingenuous. Why else would you be getting pat down? And with a guy just getting his name dragged through the mud, it's just incredibly stupid to do. We're possibly the top #1 seed going through a team involved murder scandal. Let's not give people reasons to raise hell.

Good Quinn is the fricking man. Bad Quinn is Nobé Bryant. Him playing at the top of his game makes us nearly impressive to beat. Especially if Miller and another starter is hot.
Bradley shows great potential. But as of right now, he's a guard without a jump shot. He also still has his freshman moments. You can tell the game is slowed down for him from the beginning of the season. But he's definitely not ready to play NBA minutes. And there's too many other good guards where at best, he's looking at a very late second round pick. Aka, The JD Davidson treatment. He could very easily earn his way into the first round by returning. And he'll have a good talent around him, which will only help his cause.
Edit: one more... CLANGA CLANGA, bitch. So happy to get a chance to clinch the conference championship at home vs Auburn.

I'm not trying to be disingenuous I just feel this is a reach. It wasn't his gun and he didn't do anything but drive his car.
If this were something he did just now to be edgy I would understand, however it rings hollow when the same people mocking him using "murder, killer, etc" are up in arms he does a pat down which he has done all season (many kids do this intro).

I agree with all this. JQ at his best is one of the best in the country. Bradley has some good qualities but he is so limited and at times can turnoff mentally defending. We need Bradley as well but the best version of JQ gets us that NCAA tournament championship

The pat down may not be intended to be gun related but it’s an obvious connection to make and the fact that we still did it is kind of insane. Just no self awareness. Our PR people are shite.
