Not having Bediako is obviously a loss, but looking back at the Missouri/Tennessee game, Missouri went pretty small and dropped 86 on their defense. Tennessee also had 33 FT attempts which kept them in the game.

I'd roll with Bradley/Sears/Burnett/Miller/Clowney

Gurley is first off the bench subbing for the frontcourt and keeping your usual JQ and Griffen rotation. Pringle gets a bit more run as well.

Talked to a Tennessee buddy this morning and he said he would be really surprised if Phillips or James played. Also said Vescovi is having some real trouble with his shooting shoulder.

Chuck would be our matchup for Plavsic but they play that #11 a lot recently and he is more athletic so Pringle is probably a better matchup for him.

My starting 5 if Chuck can’t go would be..

Sears
Bradley
Burnett
Miller
Clowney

Didn't an analyst say we are most dangerous with this lineup?

I don’t doubt it. This lineup is can run, shoot, and play defense.

I say glue Burnett or somebody to Vescovi and make them score with somebody else

Hate to hear about Chuck. I still have 100% confidence in Oats and this roster to do even more big things than they already have accomplished. So far this season has been all about bucking the negative trends and ghosts of the past with Alabama basketball, and I will continue to believe this bunch will keep it rolling even if we are without Chuck for a few games.

The main thing to never do is...PANIC

I love Bediako and all the improvements he's made to his game shoot he's even dribbling the ball full court just about and even using euro steps... that's crazy to think about. He's our defensive anchor so I respect him period for the work he's brought to the table for this team.

But with that being said...let's get something cleared up!

The only difference between Bediako & Pringle is that Bediako's 7 feet tall and has loads of game experience....THAT'S IT if you really think about it!

What Nick Pringle can bring to the table that nobody can imitate on our roster is a Donta Hall type presence. It'll make our offense/defense more dynamic & explosive with Pringle in the lineup.

Bediako struggled with foul trouble early on in his playing career but I think gaining game experience helped him so hopefully Nick Pringle can learn with experience.

Stop underestimating Nick Pringle!

If Bediako has to miss games it'll hurt for sure but it won't be the end all be all.

Let's not forget about a well rested Noah Gurley too.

Possibly from a scoring perspective, but our overall most efficient lineup all season has been our usual starting 5 of JB, Sears, Miller, Clowney, and Chuck.

Alabama's Charles Bediako has suffered a minor knee injury and is day-to-day, per Nate Oats. Averages 5.6 PPG and 5.3 RPG. Crimson Tide will face Tennessee on Wednesday

Thank You! and BTW, I never said he could replace a 7 footer. I said more playing time for him is not a bad thing. I beg to differ about him not being close offensively to Chuck. All the times that Chuck gets the ball under the rim and should rip the goal down.....Pringle would rip the goal down. Chuck tries to:

1. dribble

2. kiss it off the glass like he's Kevin McHale.

In my book that is very close to Chuck offensively....

Good thing he wasn't a NMSU assistant this season. Because damn, that's fricked up.

If putting the ball into the basket was all there is to offense in basketball you'd have a point, but it isn't. Chuck is a much, much better screener on and off the ball, boxes out more effectively, and is a better passer. Pringle is mostly an energy guy who can do some rim running at this point in his career. Nothing wrong with that because it's a great skill set for a backup to have, but it is a backup skill set.

I thought we were talking offensive skillset...not running the offense. Honestly, Chuck is pretty clumsy offensively, although he is way better than last year.

Nick Pringle is DIFFERENT for sure.

I think he's better offensively than Chuck but that's just my opinion just like I think Bediako is better than Pringle on the defensive side.

It'll probably be a blessing in disguise with him playing a little more.

He's a walking double-double! He just needs experience under his belt.

I say we flip the script, and go

Sears
Quinn
Bradley
Griffen
Burnett

Calling it small ball doesn't do it justice. They'll never expect it.

The problem with Pringle is he averages 5 fouls every 20 minutes. I think Bediako will probably play some, will try to at least. If he cant go I think we will be fine with Clowney, Pringle, and Gurley.

Might force us to try to go smaller with Clowney at the 5 for a good portion of the game.

Even though Pringle is actually older than Chuck.
