That step back long 2 by Bradley of all people is gonna keep Oats up at night

Bradley is kinda funny too watch shoot a 3. He'll do it when he's open as hell, but it's awkwardly slow to get it off. You can see the mental hesitation. It's definitely something he'll work on during the off season.

But after he made the 1, I don't know what the hell he was thinking with that step back. There's having swagger and whatever the hell that was.

Love the dude, but that was kinda funny to watch. You know Oats probably cussed before it even left his hands.

Win a road game over #16 in the NET by 15 points and..............no movement in the NET. Stay the same.

The NET can lick my grundle.

Same with Torvik. We didn't move and St Mary's, with 4 loses, is still ahead of us.

Luckily, though, we're #3 in Wins Above Bubble. And if we keep playing the way we are and our resume stays at that place then we've got a really good shot at a #1 seed. The committee has shown that while it uses NET it also will look more at resume rankings if those tell a story that NET is missing.

Just looked at the 10 highest ranked bracketologists that have released a bracket since at least the Kentucky game. 8 of the 10 have us as a 1-seed. Houston has dropped a bit despite being pretty much the unanimous analytics #1 team

Bilas was hyping us up a lot for sure, but it was almost all in response to Dykes being an unprofessional hack who was constantly shitting on our players and openly cheering for Arkansas.

100%. Dykes was being a complete fan boy and it seemed like Bilas picked it up on pretty quick.

They didn't need to schedule a gauntlet or anything because the American is a decent enough mid-major conference, but they did need to do a better job than they did. They went on a cupcake binge in OOC play and shouldn't be rewarded for it. It was so unnecessary too. They're a fantastic team and would have held up just fine if they had scheduled 2-3 more likely Q1 games.

Exactly. They've played one huge game since we've played them (@UVA). They are gonna go from January to March without picking up a resume defining win

Rabble rabble low release point rabble rabble time to grow up rabble rabble not ready for physical defense.

I wanted to reach through the screen and slap him. He has a vendetta against the kid and it's disgustingly unprofessional. Especially considering he was making none of the same kind of comments about Walsh and Black, who are both 5* freshmen and played like shite.

To be fair, Miller looked a little ball shy when Davis was guarding him. I’m glad we came out with some sets for him in the 2H to get him going.

It was definitely weird hearing Dykes describe it in that way, but there was no doubt Davis was doing a great job defending Miller.

I love seeing other players step up and score when the focus is on Miller. Clowney & Sears came up big all night.

They did what Muss does really well - played defense in a way that makes it very difficult for you to get the guys you want to have shoot the ball in good spots and encourage you to get the ball to guys you don't want to shoot the ball in spots where they want to shoot. It's why in the 1st half Bradley and Gurley had something like 11 combined field goal attempts and Brandon had 0.

However, like you said, we saw how they were doing it and adjusted at half time beautifully. And once we got them thinking about those pick and pop situations, combined with Davis basically faceguarding Miller all around the floor, the middle opened up like the Red Sea and our guys took full advantage. Was beautiful to watch.

Seriously, he must've said that at least 4 times. It was awful to watch.

It's easy to do when you just faceguard and deny him the ball, which is exactly what their plan was. Turn it into a 4 v 4 game and force someone else to beat you. It was a smart strategy, and we made adjustments to run sets specifically for Miller in the second half. Good coaching all around, but we have 4 or 5 shot makers on the floor at any given time and Arkansas has like 2 on their whole team without Brazile or Smith available. That was ultimately the difference.

It seemed to me like Bilas was getting a little tired of Dykes's schtick.

That moment when Dykes was riding the Davis hype train after his last three, and then he ISO'd and Dykes was hyping up his decision to ISO as the hot hand before the shot. He then bricks the shite out of the horrible shot selection and before Dykes can defend it, Bilas jumps in and says "I really don't understand that decision at all".

Outside of the 3 daggers, that was my favorite moment in the game

Yea, when I saw Devo Davis dribbling around clearly looking to squeeze off a 3........I felt pretty good about how the defensive possession would turn out

In the Kentucky game I think he was worse lol. He said Brandon Miller you’ve gotta pro on you today buddy. He also said it’s the first time someone millers height had guarded him and that was totally false also. Dykes loves himself some Arkansas. I almost fell out of my chair when Brandon hit those two threes and Dykes was like he needs to go back to his team’s side of the floor.

This was after early in the 2nd half he was glowingly talking about how Devo was guarding Miller and "talking to him about it".

You want a side of fries with that dagger to the heart, Jimmy?

I was okay with going 4-on-4 when the offense was working, but I was a little frustrated that we weren't doing the down screen handoff up top (pretty much guarantees that he gets the ball) when our offense clearly needed his help in the first half. Was definitely glad to see the adjustment at halftime though.

So much salt. If you go into someone else's building and turn it from a madhouse into a funeral parlor over the course of 60 seconds you have earned the right to run your mouth and let them know about it.
