While there's still a lot of college basketball left to be played, if the Crimson Tide takes on the SEC like it did its nonconference schedule, then this team is far from done.

Honestly, the way the team fizzled down the stretch last year does give me cautious optimism for this conference season.

Right now, if I was offered a 12-6 conference record, I'd take it without hesitation

100% agree. Depending on the outcome of the OU game, it would put us 22/23-8/9 and likely a 2-4 seed depending on what happens with other teams and in SEC tournament. Don’t know why you wouldn’t take that. I think top 3 seed gets is in Birmingham, which of course would be incredible.

If we lose 6 conference games then it would likely mean that we lost to every semi-respectable team on our schedule and some twice. This place will be a "fire errybody" and "bench those bums; we can't beat anybody good" poo-fest.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say their will be 1 “wtf” loss in conference play.

Definitely. It'll be a weeknight road game against some garbage team like Vandy or Aggy where there's a 39-14 FT discrepancy.

6 losses is every semi respectable team?

We play 8 games in conference against currently ranked teams:

State twice, Auburn twice, Arkansas twice, at Tennessee, home to Kentucky.

Say we split those and go 4-4.

Then we'd need to go 8-2 against the rest.

Certainly possible and almost expected.
But, I've seen us struggle down the stretch too many times (sans 2021).

Let's see. I'm hoping for better myself. But I'm just being realistic and grounded in my aspirations.

6 losses means you finish 3rd or 4th place in the SEC. I really think we can win the SEC, who is better than us?

Arkansas and Tennessee look pretty dang good. Missouri and Mississippi State have good records against a weak schedule, and Kentucky is Kentucky.

Alabama can absolutely win it, but the league is tough. The difference between finishing 1st or 4th amongst the top teams is probably going to come down to who can avoid an injuries and a mental lapse against a middle tier team.

The Ninja will not sleep until he gets it done even though we all know he's fighting an uphill battle but he'll get it DONE!

It's time to get ACTIVE again. We will have to be ready for Tolu's physicality because he's going to bring it.

I hope this good REST has rejuvenated some of our guys and helped others HEAL.

Joka, I am NERVOUS about Wednesday.

We played awful in our last game and States defense is Relentless. I’m worried.

I wonder if Hodgson and Welch were able to make it back to Tuscaloosa from the Buffalo area?

You do realize virtually every member of the team was sick?
