This team was great. How many same year SEC regular season and tournament champions have we had? Everybody else outside UK?
Just did it two years ago. That team got bounced by a 11 seed in the Sweet 16.

That’s true but totally misleading. A more accurate description of UCLA is that they were a final 4 team who missed the Championship Game by a last second fluke banked in 3 in OT.

Feels pretty similar. Another west coast team that’s inferior ending our season.
That’s March Madness. Maybe next year we can heat up at the right time. Need more consistent shot makers. We had the length this year to fit our style defensively but our consistency in shooting was overrated.
Going to need a team like 17 Nova.
That’s the great part, though...we can always hope for next year because we know under Nate we’ll be there. That’s what we wanted. If you keep showing up in March with talented teams you have a chance to go on a run.

My hope is pretty crushed.
My expectations are to win the SEC and/or SEC tournament. That's it from now on.
How we play we aren't getting past many sweet sixteens

Davison isn't close to the talent Miller can be. But Miller isn't where he needs to be yet.
I don't want him to be drafted high and be a bust. I fear from what I havde seen that might be the case.

Does anyone else feel like we may have the equivalent of a spread scheme in football? Can blow through most opponents but when we run into a team that can play defense and disrupt our offense, we have no answer and we get our asses handed to us. I love Nate but his in game adjustments and in game coaching suck. Take a mother fricking timeout when a team is blowing your doors off. We’re going to be the Oklahoma of basketball for the foreseeable future: in the postseason every year and every year there will be an early exit to a team that disrupts our offense with street brawler defense. My soul is crushed because I’ve come to the realization that I will never see Alabama in a Final Four.

That nova team has some damn good NBA players now in Brunson,Bridges, and a 6th man caliber player Divencenzo who was on absolute fire that whole tournament. Not to mention a guy like Paschall who could light things up. That was an all time type team. I don't really think it's fair to think we will ever get that

I want him to be drafted high. IDC if he’s a bust. Hoping he returns to regular season form and plays 15 years in the league.

Well considering the type of offense we want to run, don’t you think we should have a sharpshooter that can come off the bench and drain some 3’s when needed?

For sure that is possible. I just don't know how possible it is to replicate what that nova team did. They shot more 3s than we did this year they were just far better at it lol

Our shot-making was very consistent until we were thrusted into national controversy. It's the biggest "what if" in program history, but it's hard not to think about right now.

I hope Carol Robinson gets hit by a fricking bus or semi. Her clickbaiting sensationalized article ruined our season

I mean are we pretending conference titles mean nothing now?
Not me!
I live in Arizona and have many ASU alumni friends, some Alabama fans have no idea how good we have it.
There are so many DI programs that literally never have anything to cheer for or look forward to.
I guess we could be Stanford and claim Olympic sport’s championships every year, would that be better?

Nick Pringle was criminally underutilized this year. He’s literally a walking double double. As soon as he came in yesterday we had a spark to go up 9. He’s able to go up strong and initiate contact creating and ones. He was also the only big yesterday who was able to catch the ball while being fouled by the SDSU bigs.

He was also in during their run that decided the game
You can play it two sides with him. He can look really good but he’s very foul prone/gets out of position a good bit on defense. ESPECIALLY if the big man has post moves.
All that being said, give him another offseason to develop with this system and staff (once assembled) and match that with his athleticism once he gets the rawness out of his system and he could be a star in the post

That team was UCLA who made the Final Four. Not really a fair characterization.

Dude none of these prospects are “ready” for the league. Doesn’t matter. NBA drafts potential and let’s them develop.
Miller and Clowney are gone.

Haven’t posted since the game. I’m so hurt. Had to watch that happen in person.

Oats has made 3 NCAA tournaments at Bama
He lost as a 1 seed to a 6 seed this year
He lost as a 6 seed to an 11 last year
He lost as a 2 seed to an 11 the year before
This is a pattern.
