It seems like I saw them early on the season and watched because they were playing a lot like Bama. Pushing the tempo like crazy, driving and shooting a lot of 3 pointers.

If so, I'd like to see them just for the wide open game but think they'll be underdogs in the play in game.

Schedule for Alabama basketball this week, per Oats:

Monday: Day off
Tuesday: Practice, focus on what Maryland, West Virginia do that's out of ordinary (For example, WV press), spend time on themselves, make shots
Wednesday: 100% prep for No. 16 seed
Thursday: First round

Apologies if this has been discussed, but how in earth was Byrne on the committee, yet allow Auburn to get the same location as us?

Besides the undeserved advantage they would/will get in rds 1 and 2, does he not realize this won’t help us at all? Based on tickets and crowd noise alone, this hurts us, the overall #1 seed.

The only thing I can think of is some deal with the city of Bham and Bama playing there while building the new arena. I may be grasping at straws.

I think the entire committee screwed Iowa on that one. But don't think there's any grand conspiracy or plotting.

I've stated this before that I was at the Bama ncaa game in Greensboro a few years ago where UNC and Duke were both placed. Duke played the night time session, while UNC played the afternoon session.
The Duke game was the now infamous 2-15 game where they lost to Lehigh.
The overwhelming crowd cheering was from UNC fans rooting against Duke.
UNC fans outnumbered Duke fans, even in the night session, by at least 4 to 1.

Another example where the two aren’t comparable.

You never have one day between football games.

Fun fact:
Nowadays, the NCAA tournament courts all have to be exactly alike, except for the city name listed.
No more state logos or other weirdly unique setups

I hate that. Miss the days were you different courts. Made things a lot less sterile.

What is everyone’s final four?

My 4

Bama
Purdue
Zags
Texas

Part of me thinks a few teams Kansas, Houston lose somewhere in the middle. Who knows of course.

I haven’t done my bracket yet, but I definitely won’t have Purdue in there.

Bama
Texas
UCLA
Marquette or Memphis
