People don't get it

Joka - I appreciate your eternal optimism. But let’s not question the intelligence of people that can objectively look at this game and realize we have an uphill battle to climb to win this one.

The athletic teams that don’t cause us major issues are ones that can go cold from outside when they are getting open 3s. if AU shoots even 24% from 3s, they beat us at home despite us shooting 37% from 3s that game. They shot 20%, and missed a FT with 12 seconds that would have tied the game. SC also shot horrid against us, many of which were wide open.

The athletic teams that can shoot very well give us serious issues. KY was an obvious example. UT’s defense is more like AU’s than KY’s, and seriously doubt they are going to shoot 20% tonight from 3s against our below average defense.

This one seems pretty simple: if we play our A game, we need UT to play their B+ game or below and we win. If UT plays their A game, we need a once every 5 seasons type 55+% from 3s and low TOs performance that KY just did to us to win.

I’m hoping UT has an off night with 18 TOs, but our defensive limitations coupled with UTs shooting likely means we are going to have to play at a level or 2 above them just to make this game winnable at the end. If we play even, they’re the better team with the better matchup.

Love your hope and I also hope we win, but let’s not confuse hope with “getting it.”

I think Joka is eternally over the top, but I think Bama is about to put it on UT.

Is Gameday supposed to be on ABC? Atlanta direct tv is showing the local news.

Hope so, but seems really unlikely especially with Trelly out or limited.

I’ll take a 1 point win anyway we can get it, even if it takes 3 OTs (although that may not be good on my internal organs).

Tennessee - 91PTS (FG 32-66 48.5% , 3PT 10-28 35.7% , FT 17-25 68%) / 34REB (OREB 11 , DREB 23) / 21AST / 15STL / 6BLK / 7TOV / 19PF

Bama's Guard players were completely crushed by Tennessee's Guard players in the last game. Perhaps the team that wins the Guard players' matchup today will win the game.

So, Milroe was the exciting mystery guest on GameDay?

It would be cool if we could have a big basketball broadcast without bringing football into it.

I’m normally in that same boat, but Jalen is the big man on campus and they didn’t even talk football. I thought it was great having him on there.

Any relevant basketball player from Bama is playing in the league.

And most people don't know the guys who were Wimp's stars, they've been retired from the NBA for so long. Only great NBA players I can think of from that era were Latrell Sprewell and Derrick McKey, and i haven't seen either of those guys in ages.

Honestly, I'd love to see the reverse, and have some of our basketball reps show up on football gameday. Flip the script.

Carolina beat Florida. The gators are officially out of the race. I'm hoping that means they're sad next week, and we can beat them at home.

You better take into account that Alabama plays better defense at home.

Tennessee fouled Mark Sears a lot in Knoxville!

I can't wait.

Dalton Knecht vs Mark Sears

Robert Horry and Antonio McDyess were huge NBA names once upon a time. Horry is still really well known.

Kentucky violated us last Saturday. Today they're down 74-72 at home vs Arkansas with 11 minutes left to play.
