Agree, but the problem recruiting international players is that their NIL has to come from their home country. Of course, there is always the option of illegal payments to players, and the NCAA is not policing those, but that's the rule anyway.

True. I went to the UAB/ Tulane game here in Birmingham Thursday. Tulane is not tough at all on defense. UAB beat them by about 15.

I believe it was geno au______ that said it best. In America AaU, we have maybe 2 practices and 6 games per weekend.
Overseas they have 6 practices and 1 game per weekend.

We weren’t able to beat the initial defender off the bounce to spray it to an open shooter. Our offense is so predicated on the ball handler getting to the paint that when we go against an elite defense, it makes it near impossible to do what we want to do.
Also, Tenn decided to not help on the drives, and hug up on the 3 point shooters when a drive happened. That took away our kick outs and caused several of our turnovers.

To put that into perspective, we had 13 turnovers in one half, and Tennessee had 7 in the entire game.

Weak ballhandling and passing. Dribbling too much. No movement without the ball. You pick and pop a team like that to death make them grab and foul.
Next time put Nelson on Knecht, he can handle him. Moves well enough to take him out high, and tall enough to keep him from posting up. Double the post when they throw it in, and make them beat you from the perimeter.
If they want to play rough, make the officials whistle it both ways. Bang on them.

It's like that in soccer as well, main reason why it's so expensive in America.

If only we were playing Vandy or Georgia.
I'm hoping Auburn doesn't shoot well and we're able to get open looks consistently. Auburn is good on defense but they are not as aggressive on ball defending like Tennessee.
Hopefully we've prepared on how to handle our ball handler being double teamed. We had no answer vs Tenn.

I am interested to see how good Auburn is, I don't think anyone really knows, they don't have a quad 1 win yet, they have played two quad 1 games and lost both. Their D is for sure legit.

They are really good, make no mistake. We are going to have to play our best to have a chance.
