If Wague doesn’t go for a little bit I don’t think we get it done.

Credit to Nelson for stepping up defensively. Even his fouls were complete bullshite calls.

It’s a road W in SEC play. Worth its weight in gold. Doesn’t matter how ugly.

Because he started ball watching on defense.

Best defense performance all year from Nelson.

Great win.

Grant Nelson earned that NIL check this week. Played amazing defense.

Yea, half of those weren't fouls.

Glad to see it. They're giving MUCH better effort on defense and making fewer mental mistakes with not knowing where their help is...

He was excellent. Got some bad calls from the stripes but did a LOT that will not be apparent on the box score.

He played how we needed him to play but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t come unglued when he shot that 3 with 1:30 or thereabouts left.

9 rebounds, 9 points, 2 steals and 3 blocks playing out of position at the 5 vs Tolu Smith of all people. Very impressed.

Seems like he likes a challenge...coaches need to take that data for future motivation

It was a needed road win against a tournament team.

I’ll take it.

Yep, I couldn’t believe it. Up 2 with 1:45ish to go and Grant Nelson jacking an open 3 after only making one…due to banking it off the backboard! That’s not a winning strategy (although I’m sure he will have a James Rojas moment at some point…hopefully against AU for the win).

Tolu literally foul on every post move.

He gets away with the Drew Timme travel and hook every time.

I didn't know Nelson had that kind of defense in him against Mac truck centers. He was impressive as hell. And you could see it was giving him more confidence offensively trying to initiate something. Didn't really force much either and made this passes.

State was 24 according to KP. To beat a top 25 team in the road with the refs against you….very nice
