Happy to get a win but gave up 90 pts again. Not good at all.
We have to figure it out defensively.
Still a great victory over a P5 team who’s traditionally pretty solid at basketball. I’ll take it.

Well we weren't gonna figure our defensive problems out between 8pm last night and 3 pm today. Got a tough one coning up Tuesday vs undefeated Clemson, its at home at least.

Just gotta win Tuesday vs Clemson, Win 1 of the Big 3, and Beat Liberty. That will make us 10-3 heading into SEC play with 3 or 4 strong Non-Conference wins.

No. 17/15 Alabama Bounces Back in the Emerald Coast Classic, Defeating Oregon 99-91
Mark Sears scored a season-high 27 points in Alabama’s win over the Ducks
The No. 17/15 Alabama men's basketball team ended the Emerald Coast Classic with a win over Oregon, 99-91, Saturday afternoon at Raider Arena for its fifth win of the season. The Crimson Tide was led by Mark Sears scoring a season-high 27 points and was named to the Emerald Coast Classic All-Tournament team.
Aaron Estrada filled the stat sheet with 22 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists while Rylan Griffen scored a season-high 17 points. Oregon (4-2) was led by Jermaine Couisnard with a team-high 24 points.
Head Coach Nate Oats Postgame Comments
"It is good to come out of here with a win. We didn't play our best basketball against Ohio State, they did a great job and we challenged our guys to be better on defense and I thought we played a lot harder. Mark (Sears) played significantly harder, was really locked in tonight and led our team in blue collar points and ended up with seven rebounds as a guard. He drove the ball downhill and I thought he was really into it on defense and I thought our team was better defensively. We are still making way too many defensive mistakes but I thought our effort was good. We did a better job on the glass, we stepped up to the free throw line and only missed two free throws so to go 26-28 from the line is impressive."

They’re a tournament team for sure this year, look good.

Didn't watch the game how did we look

I was watching the iron bowl lol

Same. I checked score and read the play history during timeouts but my focus was elsewhere
I’m thinking me might have to be an Iowa like team this year. Just embrace trying to score 100 and win games that way. Defense be damned.

If it had been on anything other than flosports I would've had it on one tv and the ironbowl on another.

They may have peaked a bit early. Hoping we are shooting like that in mid-March!!

Obviously. Still need to figure it out.
Rebounded the ball better but gotta get better at putting games away as well.
Hopefully we’re 7-1 going into the Purdue game. Clemson in Coleman up next.

This is exactly what I told a buddy of mine when I saw the final score. We even have a couple white guys lol. Just win a bunch 98-90 type games

Man if we can just get the defense respectable we are gonna be really fricking good. This is easily Oats best offense

You Hogs always round into form during conference play. We both have so many new players, it will take a while for coaches to figure out the best rotations. Glad to see Mack is ok from back injury. He's good. Beat Duke.
