This is true, largely due to the defense feeding off the crowd, a marginally more favorable whistle, and the opposing team not being as familiar with the gym’s depth perception when shooting. This is why we have a shot to close the 20 point gap from our last game with them.

If you look at individual matchups, we will have a hard time stopping Knecht from getting good looks. Mo D and Griffen are probably our best options, but they’ll use screens to get Knecht against our 5 or against Sears/Estrada. Knecht abused Broome last game and I hate to admit it, but Broome is a better defender than all of our 5s. He’ll have space to shoot when against a 5 in order to keep him out of the lane and he can shoot over Sears/Estrada due to height. Have to hope he has an off night shooting and that Sears/Estrada can get a steal or two while crowding him on the switch.

Given UT’s size, we may need Stevenson to have the game of his life on both ends of the floor to win this one. That, or go after Knecht with our guards and hope to get him in foul trouble. Awesome to have a home game for what essentially is a de facto championship game (although can’t lay an egg against Arky).

This is our night to make a statement that we are the top program in the SEC.

We have constantly been overlooked and disrespected all season by the National Media because we started 6-5 playing an insanely tough schedule with a whole new team and staff.

Lets go out there and show them who the frick runs this league now
