He mostly kept a great class together last year from Saban's staff and put a great one together this year. I think we're going to be very active but selective in the portal too.
What we get out of the portal will tell us a lot about if year 2 is another transition year or a credible shot at a title.

I guess technically not, but:
1. Michigan All-American DT Mason Graham opts out of bowl game, declares for NFL draft
2. Michigan All-American DB Will Johnson opts out to enter NFL Draft as projected top 5 pick
A draft declaration (which is normally a celebration) is not going to include a line like, "Oh by the way, I'm skipping the bowl game, peace!"

IMO, we really need a good/really good DT/DE, Edge rusher, and a WR. No guys who are just warm bodies, need guys who can start or play a good bit.
