Vandy is 4-2 with wins over Va Tech, Bama and Kentucky.

Was it a game Bama should’ve lost? Absolutely not.

Is Vandy substantially worse than AU, Arkansas or UF right now? No.

On a neutral field I doubt any of those teams would be significant favorites against Vandy at the moment.

The name on the uniform and the comedown from beating UGA is the reason that game is viewed how it is.

Vandy should be 6-0. Wins over VTech, Bama, Mizzou, and Kentucky would be a strong arse resume. You could make the argument a top five resume if not top three.

They would be top 15 right now if they had not lost to Georgia State. That was an inexcusable and baffling loss given everything else

So TN has a guy boo Carter that starts as a true freshman DB. He is from Chattanooga, and played 7 on 7 with my nephew (not blood). He is a good player, but I have watched him get beat by guys that’s had no business on the field with him. He is a head hunter and has no problem coming down and helping in run support, but I could see our guys as a mismatch for him in coverage. I don’t get to offer as much in this regard because I’m not from the AL, so I’m taking my opportunity to shine. Side note, nephew got offered a visit at UT and declined, so roll tide to him.

They aren’t on the injury report. My guess is that they’re good to go.

We've adjusted to being short 2 veteran receivers by just using the TEs more. If Cole Adams could get that apparatus off his arm, I'm sure his snaps would go up too. He's gotten some action the last two weeks but they clearly don't want to rely on him because he probably is not 100% on blocking right now.

This seems like the kind of offense - this year at least - where the best personnel grouping for run or pass is 3 WR/1 TE/1 RB. Playing more 2 TE formations seems to be worse for whatever reason. Likely because teams can play a bit bigger instead of putting pure nickel on the field.

Assuming Law and Prentice are less like Adams right now (playing but with some limitations) and more like they were before being held out then I'd sorta expect things to improve a good bit on offense.

People don’t understand how much not having Law AND Prentice affected the offense in a negative way. Their stats may not be impressive but they have big game experience. Prentice actually led the team in catches two years ago in Knoxville.
